Mun Gyong-ae
Mun Gyong-ae (, born 8 April 1969) is a North Korean long-distance runner. She competed in the women's marathon at the 1992 Summer Olympics. Long-distance running, or endurance running, is a form of continuous running over distances of at least . Physiologically, it is largely aerobic in nature and requires stamina as well as mental strength. Within endurance running comes two different types of respiration. The more prominent side that runners experience more frequently is aerobic respiration. The Women's Marathon at the 1992 Summer Olympics in Barcelona, Spain was held on Saturday August 1, 1992. The race started on 6.30 p.m. local time.
