Mumbai City
Mumbai City Football Club is an Indian professional football club based in Mumbai, Maharashtra that competes in the Indian Super League, the top flight of Indian football. The club was founded in August 2014, during the inaugural season of the Indian Super League (ISL). Mumbai City is the first club to win both the ISL title and League Winners Shield, which it did in the 2020–21 season. Also, Mumbai City is the first club from India to win an AFC Champions League match. Former England international Peter Reid managed the club during the first season with Freddie Ljungberg as the marquee player. Mumbai Football Arena is a football stadium in Mumbai, India. It is located in the Andheri Sports Complex. It is one of the only few dedicated football stadiums in the country, which has been hugely appreciated by football pundits and has hosted many games for the national team. Routine usage It serves as the home stadium of Mumbai City FC of the Indian Super League. The football stadium holds 7,960 spectators for many ISL games and was expected to be one of the venues for the 2017 FIFA U-17 World Cup. The 2022 AFC Champions League is the 41st edition of Asia's premier club association football, football tournament organized by the Asian Football Confederation (AFC), and the 20th under the current AFC Champions League title. This season is officially the last season in an all-year-round (spring-to-autumn) schedule despite actually being held from 2022 to 2023; from next season onwards the competitions will switch to an autumn-to-spring schedule. 2020–21 Indian Super League Season
The 2020–21 Indian Super League season was the seventh season of the Indian Super League (ISL) since its formation and the 25th season of the top division of the Indian football league system. The season started on 20 November 2020 and ended on 13 March 2021. It was hosted behind closed doors across three venues in Goa due to the COVID-19 pandemic in India. Sergio Lobera Rodríguez (born 16 January 1977) is a Spanish professional football manager who is the current manager of China League One club Sichuan Jiuniu. Football career Lobera was born in Zaragoza, Aragon.
