Multivision Comet Cable was a pay TV service started in 1997 in Colombo Sri Lanka. The service was provided using Analog MMDS Technology. It was mainly available within the Colombo City Limits and had around 20 channels. Multivision (television Technology)
MultiVision was one of the earliest implementations of PIP (picture-in-picture) television available for purchase by users, pioneered by engineer George Schnurle III and sold by the San Jose, California-based company Multivision Products Inc. The original MultiVision model was a box that measured by and was high. It required a Videocassette recorder, VCR to operate and used its own Tuner (radio), tuner and the VCR to display two television channels.
