Multi Purpose Chemical
Multi Purpose Chemical (MPC) were an alternative metal band from Liverpool, England. The band had two changes to the line-up; in 2006 Ross McFarlane left his role of drummer and was replaced by Mel Stewart, and since August 2007, Rob Hoey no longer holds his role of guitarist. Obsessive Compulsive's "Giz" took over guitar duties until May 2008 when Adam Lucas became the band's full-time guitarist. History In early 2004 MPC's first recording of a 3-track demo CD, containing recordings of "Cult," "Death For Sale" and "Hate Magnet" (with a bonus track of their Cypress Hill-inspired song, "Hop Skip Jump"), earned the band a record deal with Liverpool's Honey Records. MPC went on to record a 4-track EP, "Cult EP", produced by Ace ( Skunk Anansie), containing new recordings of "Hate Magnet", "Death For Sale", "Embrace" and "Cult", with their first music video of "Cult" that appeared on MTV2 Europe's 120 Minutes (UK TV series). Serj Tankian (born August 21, 1967) is an Armenian-American singer, musician, songwriter, political activist and entrepreneur. He is best known as the lead vocalist, primary lyricist, keyboardist, and occasional rhythm guitarist of heavy metal band System of a Down, which was formed in 1994. Will Haven is a noise metal band from Sacramento, California. Formed in 1995, the group issued albums through many labels and have toured with acts such as Deftones and Soulfly before going on a hiatus in 2002. They would regroup in 2005 and continue to record and tour since. Throughout their history, they have issued 6 full-length albums (the latest being ''Muerte'' in 2018) as well as 2 EPs and a live DVD. Their musical style has been noted to be a combination of many metal and hardcore subgenres. The Mad Capsule Markets (originally known as The Mad Capsule Market's and Berrie) were a Japanese band that formed in 1985 and were active until 2006. The band became known for their experimental style, which melded various kinds of electronic music and punk rock. Biography Berrie (1985–1990) In 1985, while in high school, vocalist and songwriter Hiroshi Kyono and guitarist Minoru Kojima formed the punk band Berrie. OPM is an American band based in Los Angeles, California. OPM has a distinctive sound, combining hip hop, rock music, and pop with laid-back reggae. Band history Originally called "Stash", the name OPM, according to the band's frontman John E. Necro, is an abbreviation of the phrase "Open People's Minds" (originally "Other People's Money"). This was stated during an interview with MarijuanaRadio.com. The name also sounds like the drug opium. The band's original members were John E. Trashlight Vision was a trash punk band from the United States. They featured the guitarist from Murderdolls, Acey Slade and Steve Haley from the Philadelphia-based rock band HALEY. The band released their debut album in April 2006 on UnderGroove Records in the UK, entitled "''Alibis and Ammunition''". The album features 11 original songs as well as a cover of the Ramones song "''My Brain Is Hanging Upside Down (Bonzo Goes to Bitburg)''". After releasing "''Alibis and Ammunition''", Trashlight Vision gained a strong and increasingly big fanbase and toured many different countries including their home country, various parts of Europe, the United Kingdom and Japan. Johnny Truant was a British metalcore band, formed in 2000 under the name Severance. The band recorded three demos under this moniker before renaming themselves after one of the main characters of Mark Z. Danielewski's novel ''House of Leaves''. The band recorded their debut release ''The Repercussions of a Badly Planned Suicide'' (which featured three remixed songs from their second demo) in 2002 which was released on Undergroove Records. Their second album, ''In the Library of Horrific Events'' was produced by Killswitch Engage guitarist, Adam Dutkiewicz.
