Muktar Edris
Muktar Edris (born 14 January 1994) is an Ethiopian professional long-distance runner who competes in track and cross country races. Career Muktar made his first international appearances in 2011, taking seventh place in the junior race at the 2011 IAAF World Cross Country Championships (sharing the team silver medal) and finishing fourth in the 10,000 metres at the 2011 African Junior Athletics Championships with a time of 28:44.95 minutes. He began to raise his profile in 2012 with two prominent wins on the junior stage. First he defeated Kenyan opposition to win at the 2012 African Cross Country Championships, and then he went on to take the 5000 metres gold medal at the 2012 World Junior Championships in Athletics. Siltʼe Zone
Silt'e is a zone in the Central Ethiopia Regional State of Ethiopia. This zone is named for the Silt'e people, whose homeland lies in this zone. Like other nationalities in Ethiopia, the Silt'e people have their own language, Silt'e language, Silt'e. Silt'e is bordered on the south by Alaba special woreda, on the southwest by Hadiya Zone, Hadiya, on the north by Gurage Zone, Gurage, and on the east by the Oromia Region. IAAF World Junior Championships In Athletics
The World Athletics U20 Championships is a biennial world championships for the sport of athletics organised by the World Athletics, contested by athletes in the under-20 athletics age category (19 years old or younger on 31 December in the year of the competition. The competition was launched as the IAAF World Junior Championships in Athletics in 1986 and renamed to IAAF World U20 Championships in November 2015. The current name was adapted with the name change of the sports governing body in 2019. Meeting Areva
Meeting de Paris (formerly known as the Meeting Areva and Meeting Gaz de France) is an annual track and field meeting at the Stade Sébastien Charléty in Paris, France. Previously one of the IAAF Golden League events, it is now part of the Diamond League. It was first organized in 1999. The record attendance was set on 1 July 2005, with a total of 70,253 spectators. Diamond League
The Diamond League is an annual series of elite track and field athletic competitions comprising fourteen of the best invitational athletics meetings. The series sits in the top tier of the World Athletics (formerly known as the IAAF) one-day meeting competitions. The inaugural season was in 2010. It was designed to replace the IAAF Golden League, which had been held annually since 1998. 2012 African Cross Country Championships
The 2nd African Cross Country Championships was an international cross country running competition for African athletes which was held on 18 March 2012 in Cape Town's Keurboom Park in South Africa. Organised by the Confederation of African Athletics and Athletics South Africa, it was the first time that the competition represented that year's foremost event in the sport, as the IAAF World Cross Country Championships was not held. Twenty-one nations entered athletes into the event and 160 runners participated in the races. There were four championship races held at the event, featuring senior and junior races for men and women. The senior races were won by Kenyan athletes for a second year running, with Clement Langat and Joyce Chepkirui taking the men's and women's titles, respectively. 2011 African Junior Athletics Championships
The 2011 African Junior Athletics Championships were held at the University of Botswana Stadium in Gaborone, Botswana from 12 to 15 May. It was the tenth edition of the continental athletics tournament for African athletes aged 19 years or younger. Over 700 athletes from 28 countries announced their desire to participate in the event over four days of track and field competitions, which featured 22 events from men and 22 events for women. The 10,000 metres or the 10,000-metre run is a common long-distance track running event. 2011 IAAF World Cross Country Championships
The 2011 IAAF World Cross Country Championships took place on March 20, 2011. The races were held at the Polideportivo Antonio Gil Hernández in Punta Umbría, Spain. Reports of the event were given for the IAAF. Preparation The United States had expressed an interest in hosting the competition, but Punta Umbria was chosen as the host at the IAAF Council Meeting in November 2009. It will be the third occasion that Spain has hosted the competition, coming thirty years after Madrid held the 1981 edition. The course for the competition, set in a wooded area, has a 2 km loop format with an additional 600 m section for the start and finish of each race.
