Mukpuddy Animation
Mukpuddy Animation is an animation company based in Auckland, New Zealand, founded by Alex Leighton, Ryan Cooper, and Tim Evans in the early 2000s. Origins Leighton, Cooper, and Evans all resided in Auckland. They met when they were studying at Freelance Animators New Zealand's Auckland based Freelance Animation School. While there they began to create skits and develop concepts. Once they graduated they set up a studio in Evans' basement, naming the studio Mukpuddy Animation. The company was registered in 2003. Initially Mukpuddy developed 2D cartoons and posted them on the internet. This wasn't very successful so the trio had to supplement their income by undertaking design work and commercials. They also created and ran their own movie magazine called ''Mukmouth'' which covered new cinema releases and contained cartoons they had drawn. Michael Lewis Nawrocki (born July 8, 1966) is an American director, animator, writer, lyricist, and voice actor best known as the co-creator of the long-running, Christian video series, ''VeggieTales'' where he voiced Larry the Cucumber. ''Badjelly the Witch'' is a brief handwritten, illustrated story by Spike Milligan, created for his children, then printed in 1973. It was made into an audio and a video version. In 1975, in the planning for an audio version for the BBC "infant's programme" ''Let's Join In'', Milligan objected to the planned removal of God from the story. The BBC wrote in a letter that the object was not to put God on the same level as goblins, to which Milligan replied that goblins, fairies and God all exist. However, he allowed God to be removed. In 1974, Ed Welch set ''Badjelly the Witch'' to music and the LP was released on Polydor Records. Milligan narrated it with a large orchestra, and the LP was a reasonable success.
