Kampong Long Mayan () simply known as Long Mayan, is a village in the interior of Tutong District, Brunei, about from the district town Pekan Tutong. The population was 265 in 2016. It is one of the villages within Mukim Ukong, a mukim subdivision in the district. Name Brunei has a few place names that are tree related. Another place name in Brunei with a tree-related name is Nong Mayan. Some locals claim that Kampong Nong Mayan is named after a tree called ''kayu kemayan'', although Nong is a Dusun word that refers to the hill's pinnacle or ''hujung bukit''. Mukim Lamunin is a mukim in Tutong District, Brunei. The population was 4,298 in 2016. Name The mukim could be named after a village it encompasses, Kampong Lamunin. Lat and Munin made up the word Lamunin. Evidently, Lat and Munin both refer to hills, or ''musang'' (fox). Since foxes once roamed the area, Lat Munin, the ancient name, means Fox's Hill or Hill of Foxes. The two names eventually fused to form Lamunin, hiding both their animal origin and link. Mukim Tanjong Maya
Mukim Tanjong Maya is a mukim in Tutong District, Brunei. The population was 4,062 in 2016. Name The village was only known as Pengkalan Ipa and changed to Tanjong Maya after the construction of a ditch in the village. The construction of the ditch was on the recommendation of Bendahari Talip Ali who was the ketua kampong at that time to be used as a shortcut in the village, because the existing river which was the main road for the villagers was so long and convoluted. When the proposal was approved by the villagers, they agreed to build the ditch in a cooperative manner. Finally they managed to build a ditch about five chains long and about wide that formed a creek. With the construction of the ditch, the villagers can shorten the travel time without having to use the existing river road.
