Shahjahan Miah
Shahjahan Miah (born 10 January 1947) is a Bangladesh Nationalist Party politician. He was elected a member of parliament from Undivided Rajshahi-1 in 1979 and from Chapai Nawabganj-1 in 1991, 15 February 1996, 12 June 1996 and 2001 Bangladeshi general election. He was the organizer of the Liberation War of Bangladesh. Early life Shahjahan Miah was born on 10 January 1947 in Shibganj Upazila of Chapai Nawabganj District. His father is Faiz Ahmed Mia and mother Naibor Nessa. He received his bachelor's and master's degree in economics from University of Rajshahi. Durul Huda
Durul Huda (June 1955 – 3 February 2020) was a Bangladeshi freedom fighter and politician belonging to Jatiya Party. He was a member of the Jatiya Sangsad. He also served as the mayor of Rajshahi City Corporation. Biography Huda was born in 1955 at Mollatola in Shibganj of Chapai Nawabganj. He took part in the Liberation War of Bangladesh in 1971. Huda was elected as a member of the Jatiya Sangsad from Rajshahi-1 in 1988. He served as the mayor of Rajshahi City Corporation from 16 April 1990 to 6 November 1990. His mayoral post was equivalent to the status of deputy minister. He also served as the chairman of Rajshahi Zilla Parishad. Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami ( bn, বাংলাদেশ জামায়াতে ইসলামী, Bānglādēsh Jāmāyatē Islāmī, Bangladesh Islamic Assembly), previously known as Jamaat-e-Islami Bangladesh, or Jamaat for short, was the largest Islamist political party in Bangladesh. Voter turnout was 61.1%. Bangladesh Nationalist Party, the winner of the previous elections, boycotted the election.
