Mujibul Haque Chunnu
Md Mujibul Haque Chunnu (born 1 September 1953) is a Jatiya Party politician and the current Secretary General of the party. He is the incumbent Jatiya Sangsad member representing the Kishoreganj-3 constituency since 2009. He served as the State Minister of Labour and Employment during 2014–2019. Early life Haque was born on 1 September 1953 to Abdul Malek and Harunnessa in Kajala Madhyapara, Tarail Upazila, Kishoreganj District, East Bengal, Pakistan. He completed his SSC in 1970 and HSC in 1972. He was a member of the Mukti Bahini and fought in the Bangladesh Liberation war in Sector-11. Jatiya Party (Ershad)
The Jatiya Party ( bn, জাতীয় পার্টি, translit=Jatiyo Party, lit=National Party) is a conservative, nationalist political party in Bangladesh and is currently the main opposition in the Jatiya Sangsad, against the Awami League. The current chairman of the party is Ghulam Muhammad Quader. On 3 January 2019, the party announced its decision to join the Bangladesh Awami League-led Grand Alliance after having been in opposition for the previous parliamentary term. However, the party backtracked the next day and announced that it intended to remain part of the opposition. Currently, it holds Rangpur out of Bangladesh's 12 city corporations.
