Mujib Pardeshi
Mujib Pardeshi is a folk musician, film actor, and music director from Bangladesh. Biography Pardeshi was born in Betka village in what is now Tongibari Upazila of Munshiganj District. He completed a bachelor's degree in English at Dhaka University. He started his career as a tabla player before establishing himself as a singer and rising to eminence in the 1980s. Pardeshi made his acting debut in the film ''Sukh'', directed by Siraj Haider. After appearing in Firoz Al Mamun's ''Mohon Malar Banobas'' in the late 1980s, he took a long hiatus from acting. He worked as an assistant to film music directors Satya Saha, Subal Das, and Dhir Ali Miah. He was the music director for about 20 films, starting with ''Ashanto Dheu'', and including Hafiz Uddin's ''Asati''. He is well known for the song he wrote for hit film ''Beder Meye Josna''. Bangladesh Film Development Corporation or BFDC, is a government owned and operated corporation in Tejgaon, Dhaka, Bangladesh. Nuzhat Yeasmin is the managing director of the corporation. History The organization was founded in 1959 as the East Pakistan Film Development Corporation which was changed to Bangladesh Film Development Corporation after Bangladesh achieved independence in 1971. Beder Meye Josna
''Beder Meye Josna'' () is a 1989 Bangladeshi film directed by Tojammel Haque Bokul. The film stars Ilias Kanchan and Anju Ghosh in the lead roles. This story was taken from a very old rural Bengali play of the same name. The tune of the title song, "Beder meye Jyotsna amay katha diyeche," was adopted from the song "Ek pardesi mera dil le gaya" from the film ''Phagun'' (1958). Dhir Ali Miah
Dhir Ali Miah (1 January 1920 – 1984) was a Bangladeshi flute player, composer, director and orchestra conductor. He was awarded Ekushey Padak in 1986 by the Government of Bangladesh. Education and career Miah studied in Sonarang High School. He took lessons to play flute from musician Sadeq Ali. He joined the Dhaka station of Radio Pakistan as a staff artist in 1948. He retired in 1983 as Deputy Chief Music Producer. Miah worked as assistant music director of the first Bengali language full-length film ''Mukh O Mukhosh''. Subal Das (26 December 192816 August 2005) was a Bangladeshi music director and composer. He was the music director of the first film developed in Film Development Corporation (FDC), ''Akash aar Mati''. He directed music of 86 films. Early life Das was born on 27 December 1927 in Brahmanbaria District, East Bengal, British Raj. Career Das took music lessons from Ustad Israel Khan, nephew of musician Ustad Alauddin Khan.
