A telenovela is a type of a television serial drama or soap opera produced primarily in Latin America. The word combines ''tele'' (for "television") and ''novela'' (meaning "novel"). Virginia Lago (born 22 May 1946) is an Argentine actress with an extensive career in theater, film, and television. She is best known for being the host of the popular film series ', broadcast by Telefe. Biography Virginia Lago was born in San Martín in the north of Greater Buenos Aires on 22 May 1946. Until age 20 she resided in Villa Ballester. She attended primary school at Roberto Noble School No. 11, and Tomás Guido secondary school in San Martín.
