Muhd Shahrom Abdul Kalam
Muhammad Shahrom bin Abdul Kalam (born 15 September 1985) is a retired Malaysian footballer. He plays mainly as a centre-back but can also play as a right-back. Club career Early career Shahrom began his football career with under the strong guidance and encouragement of his parents and family, Abdul Kalam Suhaimi and Shariah Abdul Wahid and his 3 siblings. It was Shahrom's mother who first realised that Shahrom's intense passion to play football seriously when he was 7. Shahrom's mother acted as his unofficial coach, trainer and manager during his early days of playing football and he has never looked back since then. His mother who also managed and coached the rag tag street football team that Shahrom and a couple of his childhood friends were in. Malaysia National Football Team
The Malaysia national football team () represents Malaysia in international football and is controlled by the Football Association of Malaysia. The national team is recognised by FIFA as the successor of the defunct Malaya national football team which was founded for the 1963 Merdeka Tournament one month before the institution of Malaysia. The 2009 Liga Premier ( en, 2009 Premier League), also known as the TM Liga Premier for sponsorship reasons, is the sixth season of the Liga Premier, the second-tier professional football league in Malaysia. The season was held from 9 January and concluded on 2 August 2009. The Liga Premier champions for 2009 season was Harimau Muda. The Shah Alam Stadium (Malay: ''Stadium Shah Alam'') is a multi-purpose stadium located in Shah Alam, Selangor, Malaysia. It is used mostly for football matches but also has facilities for athletics.
