Muhammed Abdul Muid Khan
Muhammed Abdul Muid Khan ( bn, মাহমুদ আব্দুল মঈদ খান) is a Bangladeshi-born British barrister and human rights activist. In 2012, he was recognised by the Bar Council, Law Society and CILEX as the "Best Human Rights Lawyer" in England and Wales. Early life Khan is the second son of the late A.N.M. Abdul Mannan Khan, ex-chairman and senior professor of the Department of Arabic, University of Dhaka. Khan graduated with a first class in LL.M and a 2.1 in Bachelor of Laws from University of Dhaka. He completed his Bar Vocational Course (BVC) from City Law School in London. In November 2005, Khan was called to the English Bar as a barrister-at-law by Lincoln's Inn. Bar Professional Training Course
The Bar Professional Training Course or BPTC is a postgraduate course which allows law graduates to be named and practise as barristers in England and Wales. The eight institutes that run the BPTC along with the four prestigious Inns of Court are often collectively referred to as ''Bar School''. Until September 2010, it was known as the Bar Vocational Course, or BVC. The BPTC is currently one of the most expensive legal courses in Europe. The academic stage is the first of the three stages of legal education; the second is the vocational stage (the BPTC) and the third is the practical stage (pupillage). On successful completion of the BPTC, which also involves completing twelve qualifying sessions, students are called to the Bar; however, only those who have successfully completed pupillage can work as barristers. The Law Society
The Law Society of England and Wales (officially The Law Society) is the professional association that represents solicitors for the jurisdiction of England and Wales. It provides services and support to practising and training solicitors, as well as serving as a sounding board for law reform. Members of the Society are often consulted when important issues are being debated in Parliament or by the executive. The Society was formed in 1825. The Hall of The Law Society is in Chancery Lane, London, but it also has offices in Cardiff to deal with the Wales jurisdiction and the Senedd, and Brussels, to deal with European Union law. NTV ( bn, এনটিভি), an acronym of less commonly used National Television, is a Bangladeshi Bengali-language satellite and cable television channel based in the BSEC Building in Karwan Bazar, Dhaka. It was launched on 2 July 2003, and is one of Bangladesh's most popular television channels.
