Muhammad Sibtain Khan
Muhammad Sibtain Khan is a Pakistani politician who is the current Speaker of the Provincial Assembly of Punjab, and he had been the Provincial Minister of Punjab for Forestry, Wildlife and Fisheries, in office from 29 August 2018 . He has been a member of the Provincial Assembly of the Punjab, since August 2018. He served as Provincial Minister of Punjab for Forestry, Wildlife and Fisheries from 7 January 2020 to April 2022. Previously he was a member of the Provincial Assembly of the Punjab between 1990 and May 2018. Early life and education He was born on 30 August 1950 in Mianwali. He has the degree of Master of Arts in Political Science which he obtained in 1982 from University of the Punjab. Speaker Of The Provincial Assembly Of Punjab
The Speaker of the Provincial Assembly of Punjab (Urdu: اسپیکر پنجاب اسمبلی) is the presiding official of the Punjab Assembly. Informally, the Speaker is also called Speaker Punjab Assembly. The office originated in 1921, before Pakistan became independent. It was re-established in 1951 in accordance with the Constitution; the Speaker presides over the chamber composed of Punjab's elected representatives. The Speaker is first in the line of succession to the Governor of Punjab. He also occupies the third position in the Warrant of Precedence, after the Governor and the Chief Minister. In addition, the Speaker takes a non-partisan approach to presiding over the Assembly, and he is its spokesman to the outside world. 2013 Pakistani General Election
General elections were held in Pakistan on Saturday 11 May 2013 to elect the members of the 14th National Assembly and the four Provincial Assemblies. The three major parties were the Pakistan Muslim League (N) (PML-N) led by Nawaz Sharif, the Pakistan People's Party (PPP) led by President Asif Ali Zardari and the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) led by Imran Khan. Prior to the elections, the ruling PPP formed an alliance with the Pakistan Muslim League (Q) and Awami National Party, while the main opposition party, the PML-N allied with the Pakistan Muslim League (F) and Baloch parties.
