Mubende Hill
Mubende is a town in the Central Region of Uganda. It is the main municipal, administrative, and commercial center of Mubende District and is the location of the district headquarters. Location Mubende is approximately , by road, west of Kampala, the capital of Uganda and its largest city. The town is located about east of the city of Fort Portal along the Mubende–Kyegegwa–Kyenjojo–Fort Portal Road. The geographical coordinates of the town are 0°33'27.0"N, 31°23'42.0"E (Latitude:0.5575; Longitude:31.3950). Mubende Town sits at an average elevation of above mean sea level. Overview Mubende is home to the Nakayima Shrine, said to hold the spirit of Ndahura, a former Bacwezi king. Flag Of Uganda
The flag of Uganda ( Ugandan Languages: ''Bendera ya Uganda'') was adopted on 9 October 1962, the date that Uganda became independent from the British Empire. The largest state-owned hospital in Uganda is Mulago Hospital in Kampala with around 1,500 beds. It was built in 1962. River Muzizi is a river in Uganda, in East Africa. It separates the Two Banyakitara Kingdoms of (Amakama ga) Bunyoro-Kitara and Tooro Location The River Muzizi is located in the western part of Uganda. Mubende–Kakumiro–Kibaale–Kagadi Road is a road in Uganda's Central Region and Western Region, connecting the towns of Mubende in Mubende District to Kakumiro, Kibaale and Kagadi in Kibaale District. Uganda People's Defence Force
The Uganda People's Defence Force (UPDF), previously known as the National Resistance Army, is the armed forces of Uganda. From 2007 to 2011, the International Institute for Strategic Studies estimated the UPDF had a total strength of 40,000–45,000 and consisted of land forces and an air wing. Recruitment to the forces is done annually. After Uganda achieved independence in October 1962, British officers retained most high-level military commands.
