Nateshia Lindsay (born 15 September 1986), better known by her stage name Ms. Thing, is a Jamaican dancehall vocalist and deejay. She is best known for providing vocals on the international hit song "Dude (Beenie Man song), Dude" by Beenie Man, which charted on the Billboard Hot 100 and the UK Singles Chart. Music career Discovered by Jamaican producer Dave Kelly (producer), Dave Kelly as a teenager, Ms. Thing released her first single on his Madhouse Records (Jamaican record label), Madhouse Records label, "Get That Money", in December 2002. She is best known for singing the chorus to the international hit song "Dude (Beenie Man song), Dude" by Beenie Man, written and produced by Kelly. "Dude" peaked at no. 4 on the US ''Billboard (magazine), Billboard''s Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs charts in July 2004 and spent 48 weeks on that chart, and also peaked at no. 26 on the Billboard Hot 100. Sticky (musician)
Sticky (born Richard Forbes) is a UK garage producer. He is best known for his 2001 hit "Booo!" featuring Ms. Dynamite, which peaked at number 12 on the UK Singles Chart and number one on the UK Dance Singles Chart, and for the tracks "Triplets" and "Things We Do" featuring Kele Le Roc (which itself samples "Triplets"). In 1999, Sticky joined DJ/producer Jason Kaye's label Social Circles and has since worked with Kaye on many records, including "Booo!". Kaye is a member of breakbeat hardcore group Top Buzz. Panjabi Hit Squad are British DJs, producers and radio broadcasters for BBC Asian Network and formerly BBC 1Xtra. The group recorded several albums, including ''Desi Beats Vol 1'' with Def Jam. They have won the UK Asian Music Awards three times, in 2003, 2005 and 2012. They produced two albums for Ms Scandalous, '' Ladies First'' and ''Aag''. Career Panjabi Hit Squad started their broadcasting career on BBC 1Xtra in 2002 where they hosted the Desi Beats show on Monday nights from 12–2am. In 2003, the show moved time slots to Thursday night from 10pm–12am. They won two UK Asian Music Awards (UK AMA) for Best Radio DJ, in 2003 and 2005. In 2007, Panjabi Hit Squad started to host their own show on BBC Asian Network on Saturdays from 6pm–9pm. In 2012 they won the UK AMA for Best Club DJ. Buraka Som Sistema
Buraka Som Sistema was an electronic dance music project from Portugal, specializing in a fusion of techno beats with the African zouk and kuduro genre. It is generally credited with creating the "zouk bass" and "progressive kuduro" variant and has received an MTV European Music Award. In 2015 Buraka Som Sistema said they would be taking an hiatus starting in 2016, and on July 1st 2016 they performed live for the last time in Lisbon. Origins Buraka Som Sistema was founded in 2002 by Branko (João Barbosa), Rui Pité (DJ Riot), Andro Carvalho (Conductor) and Kalaf Ângelo. Adidja Azim Palmer (born 7 January 1976), better known as Vybz Kartel, is a Jamaican reggae and dancehall recording artist, composer, record producer, and entrepreneur. Among his various nicknames, he is referred to as "Worl' Boss". David James Andrew Taylor, better known by his stage name Switch, is an English songwriter, DJ, sound engineer, and record producer. He is best known for his work with Beyonce, M.I.A. and Major Lazer, of which he was a founding member.
