Mr Gay World 2010, the 2nd Mr Gay World pageant, was held at the Nedre Vollgate 11, in Oslo, Norway on February 13, 2010. Charl Van Den Berg of South Africa, was crowned Mr Gay World 2010 by outgoing titleholder Max Krzyzanowski from Ireland. 23 countries and territories competed for the title. Miss World 2005
Miss World 2005, the 55th edition of the Miss World pageant, was held on 10 December 2005 at the Crown of Beauty Theatre in Sanya, China. María Julia Mantilla of Peru crowned her successor Unnur Birna Vilhjálmsdóttir of Iceland. 102 contestants from all over the world competed for the crown. All contestants competed in three "fast track" events, Beach Beauty, Miss Talent, and Beauty With a Purpose contests. Miss Earth 2001
Miss Earth 2001, the 1st Miss Earth pageant, organized by Carousel Productions. The pageant coronation night was held on October 28, 2001 at the University of the Philippines Theater in Quezon City, Philippines. There were 42 delegates who competed in the pageant that focuses on environmental issues. Catharina Svensson of Denmark, a professional equestrienne, fashion model, and third year law student, was crowned as the pageant's first winner. Miss Earth was formally launched in a press conference on April 3, 2001 along with the search of Miss Philippines to represent Philippines in the international competition. Miss Philippines Earth 2001 (also called Miss Philippines 2001) was the 1st edition of Miss Philippines Earth. It took place at the UP Theater in Quezon City, Metro Manila on April 28, 2001. At the end of the event, Carlene Aguilar was crowned as the first ever winner of Miss Philippines Earth. With her crowned are the runners-up: Maria del Carmen Antigua was named First Runner-Up, Anjelly Gamboa was named Second Runner-Up, Marites Orjalesa was named Third Runner-Up, and Gemma Gatdula was named Fourth Runner-Up. Carlene Ang Aguilar-Ocampo (; born February 8, 1982) is a Filipino-Chinese actress and former beauty queen, having been crowned Miss Philippines Earth 2001 and Binibining Pilipinas World 2005. Mr Gay World
Mr Gay World is a registered and trademarked annual international competition for gay men. The reigning Mr Gay World is José López Duvont from Puerto Rico. López is the first Latino winner, and the first winner from the Americas. Beginnings Before there was Mr Gay World, there was IMG Mr Gay International. Brian Merriman (owner of Mr Gay Ireland) and Tore Aasheim (co-owner of Mr Gay Europe) attended the competition with the European delegation. Merriman and Aasheim decided to create their own international competition. Brian Merriman invited Tore Aasheim, Morten Ruda (owner of Mr Gay Norway and co-owner of Mr Gay Europe) and Dean Nelson (owner of Mr Gay Canada) to Dublin, Ireland to plan a brand new international competition.
