The only album to feature David Lee Holt on lead guitar comprises ten songs, including re-recordings of four from their first album, ''The Mavericks'' (1991): "Mr. Jones", "The End of the Line (Jim Baker)", "This Broken Heart" and "A Better Way". Two cover songs appear on the album: "Excuse Me (I Think I've Got a Heartache)" and "Hey Good Lookin'", which were previously recorded by Buck Owens and Hank Williams, respectively. The latter cover was one of two singles released, and it peaked at #74 on the '' Billboard'' country charts in 1992. The other, "I Got You" b/w "A Better Way", failed to chart. Critical reception The '' Austin American-Statesman'' wrote that Raul Malo "sings like the reincarnation of Del Shannon, and the Texas twang of guitarist David Holt ... helps offset the production's tendency toward slickness." Liberal Animation
''Liberal Animation'' is the debut album by the American punk rock band NOFX. It was originally released in 1988 through Wassail Records, which was Fat Mike's label before Fat Wreck Chords. Brett Gurewitz produced the record, and even offered to release it on his label, Epitaph Records. The band decided to self-release it instead. It was re-released through Epitaph Records in 1991 with all new artwork. The title is a spoonerism of "animal liberation" and the cover artwork is a reflection of that. Bassist/Singer, Fat Mike has stated many times that he thinks it's the worst NOFX album. He wrote the majority of the album on a guitar he bought from Lynn Strait of Snot. The track "Shut Up Already" features a short cover of the Led Zeppelin song " Black Dog". It is the only full length album by NOFX to feature Dave Cassilas on guitar. Amateur style music videos were made for the tracks "Shut Up Already" and "Mr. Jones." Track listing Personnel * Fat Mike - lead vocals, bass * Eri ...

Ballad Of A Thin Man
"Ballad of a Thin Man" is a song written and recorded by Bob Dylan, and released in 1965 on his sixth album, ''Highway 61 Revisited''. Recording Dylan recorded "Ballad of a Thin Man" in Studio A of Columbia Records in New York City, located at 799 Seventh Avenue, just north of West 52nd Street on August 2, 1965. Record producer Bob Johnston was in charge of the session, and the backing musicians were Mike Bloomfield on lead guitar, Bobby Gregg on drums, Harvey Goldstein on bass, Al Kooper on organ, and Dylan himself playing piano. Driven by Dylan's sombre piano chords, which contrast with a horror movie organ part played by Al Kooper, this track was described by Kooper as "musically more sophisticated than anything else on the ''Highway 61 Revisited'' album." Kooper has recalled that at the end of the session, when the musicians listened to the playback of the song, drummer Bobby Gregg said, "That is a ''nasty'' song, Bob." Kooper adds, "Dylan was the King of the Nasty Song at that ...
