Moylussa
Moylussa ( ga, Maigh Lusa) is a mountainListed as an Arderin – a category of Irish mountains greater than 500m high with 30m prominence. in the Slieve Bernagh range in western Ireland, and the highest point in County Clare at . Geography It is situated in Kilbane, between the villages of Broadford and Bridgetown, in the east of the county and to the west of Lough Derg and the River Shannon. Hill walking There are a number of routes to the summit; one of the most popular ascents starts from the forest car park at Ballycuggaran, Ogonnelloe. The route passes through one of the conifer plantations that have been created on the shoulder of the mountain and other nearby hills by Coillte, the state owned forestry company. The route then follows part of the long-distance path known as the East Clare Way which runs in a circular route from Killaloe and passes along the eastern flanks of Moylussa, but does not ascend to its highest point. East Clare Way
The East Clare Way is a long-distance trail in County Clare, Ireland. It is a long circular route that begins and ends in Killaloe. It is typically completed in eight days. It is designated as a National Waymarked Trail by the National Trails Office of the Irish Sports Council and is managed by East & Mid Clare Way Limited and the East Clare Way Committee. The circular route explores the hills and lakes to the west of Lough Derg and takes in the towns and villages of Kilbane, Broadford, O'Callaghans Mills, Tulla, Feakle, Flagmount, Mountshannon and Scarriff. A double summit, double peak, twin summit, or twin peak refers to a mountain or hill that has two summits, separated by a col or saddle. Lough Derg (Shannon)
Lough Derg, historically Lough Dergart ( ga, Loch Deirgeirt), is a freshwater lake in the Shannon River Basin, Ireland. It is the third-biggest on the island of Ireland (after Lough Neagh and Lough Corrib). It is a long, narrow lake, with shores in counties Clare (south-west), Galway (north-west), and Tipperary (to the east). It is the southernmost of three large lakes on the River Shannon; the others being Lough Ree and Lough Allen. Towns and villages on Lough Derg include Portumna, Killaloe & Ballina, Dromineer, Terryglass, Mountshannon and Garrykennedy. The lake's name evolved from the Irish ''Loch Deirgdheirc''.
