Moyle Rovers GAA
Moyle Rovers GAA are a Gaelic Athletic Association club in County Tipperary, Ireland. History The club derives its name from the river Moyle that runs through the Parish and joins the Anner. The club was founded in 1928. Previous to this since the 1800s various teams represented the parish in local leagues most often the Clonmel League. Kilsheelan GAA club have recorded games played against Powerstown in the early 1900s. The 1990s Football The club's grounds, Monroe, was officially opened in 1990. Soon after in 1991 they won their first South senior football title and in 1995 their first ever County senior football championship final win. Further victories in this grade followed in 1996/98/99/00 along with these Moyle Rovers also won four South Senior football titles; and contested two Munster club finals also. County Tipperary ( ga, Contae Thiobraid Árann) is a county in Ireland. It is in the province of Munster and the Southern Region. The county is named after the town of Tipperary, and was established in the early 13th century, shortly after the Norman invasion of Ireland. Tipperary Senior Football Championship
The Tipperary Senior Football Championship is an annual Gaelic Athletic Association club competition between the top Gaelic football clubs in Tipperary. The winners of the Tipperary Championship qualify to represent their county in the Munster Senior Club Football Championship, the winners of which advance to the All-Ireland Senior Club Football Championship. History Over the decades, the Tipperary championship has been dominated by teams from South Tipperary, with Fethard and Clonmel Commercials leading the roll of honour, though Loughmore-Castleiney from Mid Tipperary strongly challenge and were the 2014 champions. Grangemockler GAA
Grangemockler / Ballyneale GAA is a Gaelic Athletic Association club located in the south-east corner of County Tipperary in Ireland. The club plays Gaelic football and hurling as part of the South division of Tipperary GAA. They have been Tipperary Senior Football Champions on eight occasions. History The club was founded in 1885, one year after the founding of the GAA. The club won its first ever Tipperary senior football championship title in 1890 and had to wait thirteen years before winning again in 1903 when the team won the title five years in a row in 1903, 1904, 1905, 1906 and 1907. The team was beaten the following year and the title was won by Cloneen but returned again in 1909 to take the title once more beating Clonmel Emmets in the final. It was another twenty two years before the team would win the title again in 1931. The All-Ireland Junior Club Hurling Championship is an annual inter-county club hurling competition organised by the Gaelic Athletic Association (GAA) since 2002-03 for eligible hurling clubs. Clubs qualify for the competition based on their performance in their county club championships. The final, usually held in early February, serves as the culmination of a series of games played during the winter months, and the results determine which county's team receives the cup. The Munster Junior Club Hurling Championship (known for sponsorship reasons as the AIB Munster GAA Hurling Junior Club Championship) is an annual hurling competition organised by the Munster Council of the Gaelic Athletic Association and contested by the five champion junior clubs and one champion intermediate club in the province of Munster in Ireland. Declan Browne
Declan Browne (born 16 June 1978) is an Irish Gaelic football coach and player who competed at inter-county level for Tipperary county football team, Tipperary for 11 years. He currently plays his club football for Moyle Rovers GAA, Moyle Rovers. He represented Ireland against Australia in the 2003 and 2004 International Rules series. The International Rules Series is a senior men's international rules football competition between the Australia international rules football team (selected by the Australian Football League) and the Ireland international rules football team (selected by the Gaelic Athletic Association). The series is played biannually over two Test matches in November after the completion of the AFL Grand Final and the All-Ireland Football Final, which are both traditionally played in late September, and the winner is the team with the highest cumulative score over both Tests; however, there have been six unscheduled years since 2009. Peter Acheson (born 15 March 1990) is an Irish Gaelic football player who plays at inter-county level for Tipperary, and plays his club football for Moyle Rovers. Career He played minor football for Tipperary in 2007 and 2008, and under-21 football from 2009 until 2011. He also played minor hurling in 2007 and 2008 for Tipperary.
