''Moyasimon: Tales of Agriculture'', known in Japan as , is a Japanese manga series by Masayuki Ishikawa. It was serialized in Kodansha's seinen magazine ''Evening'' from July 2004 to June 2013 and moved to the magazine ''Monthly Morning Two'', where it concluded in January 2014. The series follows Tadayasu Sawaki, a first-year college student at an agricultural university, who has a unique ability to see and communicate with microorganisms. Del Rey Manga licensed the manga, but only released two volumes in English in North America. An 11-episode anime television series adaptation, animated by Shirogumi and Telecom Animation Film, aired between October and December 2007 on Fuji TV's Noitamina programming block. Masayuki Ishikawa
is a Japanese manga artist. He is best known for '' Moyasimon: Tales of Agriculture'' and ''Maria the Virgin Witch''; both of which were adapted into an anime television series. Career He made his debut as a manga artist in 1997 with the short story ''Nippon Seifu Chokkatsu Kidō Sentai Kōmuin V'' in the magazine ''Bessatsu Young Magazine''. In 1999 he won the Tetsuya Chiba Award for the short story ''Kami no Sumu Yama'', which was later collected in the collection ''Hitokiri Ryōma''. is a Japanese Block programming, programming block on Fuji TV devoted to anime, originally broadcast every Thursday late night/Friday morning from 00:45 to 1:15. It was launched with the intention of expanding the target audience beyond the typical young male demographic. The block debuted in April 2005 as a half-hour block. All anime production under the block are joint-venue by Fuji TV, Dentsu and usually Sony Music Entertainment Japan or Aniplex.
