Elvis Tjin Asjoe
Elvis Erwin Jules Tjin Asjoe (born 9 January 1966 in Antriol) is a Dutch politician. Since 6 December 2022, he has been an island deputy for health care and culture in the Executive Board of Bonaire. After 10 October 2010, he had held this position several times. Before that, he was minister of the Netherlands Antilles in the first and second de Jongh-Elhage cabinets. Life Tjin Asjoe was born in Antriol as the youngest of four children of Elvia Nicolaas and Eugene Tjin Asjoe. His father was from Suriname and went to work in Bonaire for Schunck Kleding Industrie. After high school, Tjin Asjoe went to the MTS in Curaçao and continued his studies at the HTS in Enschede where he graduated laude. After returning to Bonaire, he worked at Bonaire Trading as head of automation. A year later, he set up his own ICT company with a partner. The island council ( nl, eilandsraad; pap, konseho insular, label=Papiamentu) is a form of local government in special municipalities in the Caribbean Netherlands. It is similar to municipal council in the European part of the Netherlands. The Senate ( or simply ' , literally "First Chamber of the States General", or sometimes ' ) is the upper house of the States General, the legislature of the Netherlands. Blue
Blue is one of the three primary colours in the RYB colour model (traditional colour theory), as well as in the RGB (additive) colour model. The electoral colleges for the Senate ( nl, kiescolleges voor de Eerste Kamer; pap, kolegionan elektoral pa Eerste Kamer, label=Papiamentu) are the electoral colleges of the Caribbean Netherlands and Dutch expatriates. Their members together with the members of the States-Provincial in the European Netherlands choose the Senators of the Dutch Senate. The first electoral college elections (then only in the Caribbean Netherlands) were held on 20 March 2019, simultaneously with the island council elections, and the European Netherlands' provincial elections and water board elections. Papiamento () or Papiamentu (; nl, Papiaments) is a Portuguese-based creole language spoken in the Dutch Caribbean. It is the most widely spoken language on the Caribbean ABC islands (Aruba, Bonaire, Curaçao), with official status in Aruba and Curaçao. Bonaire (; , ; pap, Boneiru, , almost pronounced ) is a Dutch island in the Leeward Antilles in the Caribbean Sea. Its capital is the port of Kralendijk, on the west ( leeward) coast of the island.
