Mountain is a town in Oconto County, Wisconsin, United States. The population was 860 at the 2000 census. The census-designated place of Mountain is located within the town. The unincorporated communities of Bonita and Mountain are located in the town. History This town was named Armstrong until August 1997, when the name was changed to Mountain. Geography According to the United States Census Bureau, the town has a total area of 72.7 square miles (188.2 km2), of which, 71.6 square miles (185.4 km2) of it is land and 1.1 square miles (2.8 km2) of it (1.51%) is water. Demographics As of the census of 2000, there were 860 people, 380 households, and 248 families residing in the town. The population density was 12.0 people per square mile (4.6/km2).
