Mount Yushi () is a mountain in Dongyang township, Guangfeng District of Shangrao, Jiangxi, China. It is the highest mountain in the northeastern Guangfeng District. It belongs to Danxia landform. Guangfeng District
Guangfeng District () is a district of the city of Shangrao, located in Northeastern Jiangxi Province, Eastern China. The easternmost county-level division of Jiangxi, Guangfeng borders Zhejiang and Fujian provinces. It covers . The population is 760,000 people. History The district was first established during the Tang dynasty in 758 as a county, then repealed in 812. In 1074, during the Song dynasty, the district was reestablished as a county. Shangrao () is a medium-sized prefecture-level city located in the northeast of Jiangxi province, People's Republic of China. The city borders the province of Anhui to the north, the province of Zhejiang to the east, and the province of Fujian to the south. Also, the city's western reaches extend into Poyang Lake. Danxia Landform
The Danxia landform () refers to various landscapes found in southeast, southwest and northwest China that "consist of a red bed characterized by steep cliffs". It is a unique type of petrographic geomorphology found in China. Danxia landform is formed from red-coloured sandstones and conglomerates of largely Cretaceous age. The landforms look very much like karst topography that forms in areas underlain by limestones, but since the rocks that form danxia are sandstones and conglomerates, they have been called "pseudo-karst" landforms. They were formed by endogenous forces (including uplift) and exogenous forces (including weathering and erosion).
