Mount Elizabeth (Antarctica)
Mount Elizabeth is a massive ice-free mountain, high, standing south of Mount Anne in the Queen Alexandra Range, Antarctica. It was discovered by the British Antarctic Expedition, 1907–09, and named for Elizabeth Dawson-Lambton, a supporter of the expedition. Events * On 23 January 2013, C-GKBC (c/n:650), a Kenn Borek Air DHC-6 Twin Otter skiplane, with three Canadians on board, crashed onto Mount Elizabeth. The Emergency Locator Transmitter (ELT) was detected on the same day. The plane had been en route from the South Pole's Amundsen–Scott US station to Terra Nova Bay's Zucchelli Italian station, operating under the auspices of the Italian National Agency for New Technologies, Energy and Sustainable Economic Development (ENEA). The aircraft was found on 25 January 2013. It had impacted at the level. The New Zealand helicopter rescue team which spotted the wreckage reported that the accident was not survivable. Mount Elizabeth (Victoria)
Mount Elizabeth is a mountain to the east of Tambo Crossing in East Gippsland, Victoria, Australia. It lies within the Mount Elizabeth Nature Conservation Reserve managed by Parks Victoria. The reserve, which covers 5,234 hectares (12,934 acres), was established in 1984. The reserve is the only known location where the endangered plant species leafy nematolepis ('' Nematolepis frondosa'') occurs. Other rare or vulnerable plant species found in the reserve include Tullach Ard grevillea ('' Grevillea polychroma''), outcrop guinea-flower ( ''Hibbertia hermanniifolia'' subsp. ''recondita''), Mount Elizabeth hovea ('' Hovea magnibractea''), monkey mint-bush (''Prostanthera walteri'') and leafless pink-bells ('' Tetratheca subaphylla''). The Mount Elizabeth Archeological Site, also known as Racey's Tuckahoe, St. Joseph's Novitiate or the Mount Elizabeth Indian Mound is a prehistoric midden and an archaeological site in Jensen Beach, Florida. It is located in Martin County's Indian RiverSide Park, which includes the former Florida Institute of Technology (Jensen Beach Campus) east of Indian River Drive on the Indian River Lagoon. Mount Elizabeth Hospital, known colloquially as Mount E, is a 345-bed private hospital in Singapore operated by Parkway Health. Construction began in 1976 and the hospital officially opened on 8 December 1979. The hospital specialises in cardiology, oncology, and neuroscience, among other tertiary services. It is also recognised as a multi-organ transplant speciality hospital. Since 1995, it has been owned by Parkway Holdings Ltd. The hospital is accredited by Joint Commission International and is located in Singapore's Orchard Road, on Mount Elizabeth. It is the first private hospital in Singapore to perform open-heart surgery and to establish a nuclear medicine centre. The Royal Family of Brunei built a Royal Suite in the hospital for their own use. It was later made available for use by other patients. In 2016 the cost of a bed in a four-bed ward was $276 a night.
