Moulton is a civil parish and village in Cheshire, England, south of Northwich and north of Winsford. History The village can trace its history back to the Norman Conquest. Moletune is listed in the Domesday Book of 1086 as being among the estates of Baron Richard de Vernon of Shipbrook. George Ormerod described the village in 1882 thus: 'Moulton occupies a high ridge of ground, running parallel with the general course of the Weaver, and commanding a most extensive view over the vales of that river, and of the Mersey, in the several directions of Delamere Forest and Lancashire.' During the 19th century the character of the village changed from purely agricultural to a more mixed economy. Many workers in the salt mining industry, which lined the banks of the River Weaver, made their homes in Moulton. Moulton, Ohio
Moulton is an unincorporated community located in southern Moulton Township, Auglaize County, Ohio, United States. It is located along U.S. Route 33 between Wapakoneta and Saint Marys. The original two-lane stretch of U.S. Highway 33, now County Road 33-A, runs through the community. Moulton is served by the Saint Marys City School District and the Wapakoneta (45895) post office. The Toledo and Ohio Central Railway, later merged into the New York Central, operated a line from Columbus, through Russells Point, Gutman, Wapakoneta and to its terminus in Saint Marys, that ran through Moulton, which also served the now defunct Detjen Grain Company. This line was abandoned by New York Central's successor Penn Central and subsequently with the formation of Conrail. Moulton (horse)
Moulton (23 April 1969 – 1981) was a British Thoroughbred racehorse and sire. After finishing unplaced on his only start as a juvenile, Moulton improved to become a high-class middle-distance performer in 1972, winning the White Rose Stakes, Prix Ridgway and Prix Henri Delamarre as well as placing second in the Dante Stakes and the Prix du Prince d'Orange. He reached his peak as a four-year-old in 1973 when he won the Premio Presidente della Repubblica and finished second in the Eclipse Stakes before recording a 14/1 upset win in the Benson and Hedges Gold Cup. He was retired from racing and had limited success as a breeding stallion. Moulton is a crater on the Moon's far side, just beyond the south-southwestern limb as seen from the Earth. The crater is attached to the southern edge of Chamberlin, and it lies at the northern terminus of the Vallis Schrödinger. There is a cleft in the shared rim between Chamberlin and Moulton. This is a worn crater with an outer rim that is not quite circular. There are straight lengths in the rim to the west and northeast, as well as the common rim shared with Chamberlin to the north. Moulton is an English bicycle manufacturer based in Bradford-on-Avon, Wiltshire. The company was founded in 1962 by Alex Moulton (1920–2012) who had designed the "Hydrolastic" and rubber cone suspension systems for the BMC Mini motorcar. Moulton bicycles are noted for unconventional frame design, small wheels, and front and rear suspension. A misconception about Moultons is that they fold in the manner of more recent designs by manufacturers such as Brompton, Bickerton or Dahon. Mount Moulton is a complex of ice-covered shield volcanoes, standing east of Mount Berlin in the Flood Range, Marie Byrd Land, Antarctica. It is named for Richard S. Moulton, chief dog driver at West Base. The volcano is of Pliocene age and is presently inactive. The Prahl Crags are located on the southern slopes of Mount Moulton and are part of a caldera.
