The Bangkok−Ban Chang Motorway ( th, ทางหลวงพิเศษกรุงเทพมหานคร−บ้านฉาง, ), designated Motorway Route 7, is a motorway in Thailand, connecting Bangkok to Chonburi, Pattaya, and Map Ta Phut. The country's first intercity motorway, it is part of the Asian Highway Network as AH Route 19 and AH Route 123. The entire length from Bangkok to Pattaya is and the posted speed limit is , enforced primarily by speed cameras. An extension between Pong and Map Tha Put opened in May 2020. It is part of the transport network development project in the eastern seaboard. Princess Srinagarindra ( th, ศรีนครินทรา; ; 21 October 1900 – 18 July 1995) née Sangwan Talapat ( th, สังวาลย์ ตะละภัฏ; ) was a member of the Royal Thai Family and the House of Mahidol, which is descended from the Chakri Dynasty and was originated by Prince Mahidol Adulyadej. Asian Highway Network
The Asian Highway Network (AH), also known as the Great Asian Highway, is a cooperative project among countries in Asia and the United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific (ESCAP) to improve their connectivity via highway systems. It is one of the three pillars of the Asian Land Transport Infrastructure Development (ALTID) project, endorsed by the ESCAP commission at its 48th session in 1992, comprising Asian Highway, Trans-Asian Railway (TAR) and facilitation of land transport projects. Agreements have been signed by 32 countries to allow the highway to cross the continent and also reach to Europe. Map Ta Phut ( th, มาบตาพุด, ) is a town (''thesaban mueang'') in Rayong Province, Thailand. It is the site of Thailand's largest industrial park, the Map Ta Phut Industrial Estate.
