__FORCETOC__ Moto Rapido Racing is a motorbike racing team, currently competing in the British Superbike Championship. For the first half of the 2018 season, the superbike rider was Taylor Mackenzie, who replaced injured American John Hopkins. For the second half of the 2018 season Tommy Bridewell succeeded Mackenzie as sole BSB rider. He was retained for 2019 finishing in third place with 636 points, and is contracted again for 2020. Thomas Strudwick also rode during 2017 in Motostar standard class. Jakub 'Kuba' Smrž (born 7 April 1983 in České Budějovice, Czechoslovakia) is a professional motorcycle road racer. He currently competes in the Superbike World Championship, aboard a Yamaha YZF-R1. For 2017 and 2018 he rode a BMW S1000RR in the British Superbike Championship, but in June 2018 he suffered a serious shoulder injury when guest-riding for Czech BMW team Mercury Racing in the Oschersleben eight-hour event in Germany. Knockhill Racing Circuit
Knockhill Racing Circuit is a motor racing circuit in Fife, Scotland. It opened in September 1974 and is Scotland's national motorsport centre. The circuit is located in the countryside about north of Dunfermline. It is the only FIA approved circuit in Scotland. History The circuit opened in September 1974. It was created by joining service roads to a nearby disused mineral railway, closed in 1951, which served Lethans Colliery. The first car race was held on 18 May 1975. Between 1974 and 1983 the circuit had several different owners which helped to steadily develop the circuit's facilities and attractions. Brands Hatch is a motor racing circuit in West Kingsdown, Kent, England, United Kingdom. Originally used as a grasstrack motorcycle circuit on farmland, it hosted 12 runnings of the British Grand Prix between 1964 and 1986 and currently hosts many British and International racing events. Alessandro Polita (born 3 June 1984) is an Italian motorcycle racer, winner of the FIM Superstock 1000 Cup in 2006. His sister, Alessia Polita, also ran as a professional rider, until an accident caused paralysis of the lower limbs. Career In 2006 he won the World Cup Superstock 1000 with a Suzuki GSXR1000 K6 Celani with the Suzuki Italian team. In 2007 he debuted in the World Superbike championship with the same team. Stuart Easton (born 21 July 1983 in Hawick) is a British former professional motorcycle racer. He announced his retirement from racing in December 2016. For the first part of 2016, Easton rode in the British Superbike Championship for Tommy Hill's Yamaha team, but was replaced by Broc Parkes from August. Scott Smart
Scott Paul Smart (born 29 May 1975) is a British motorcycle racer and an occasional TV commentator for Channel 4. He is the son of Paul Smart, and the nephew of Barry Sheene. Racing career Scott won the Superteen series in 1994, and he was 1997 250cc British Champion, having previously finished as series runner-up, before making a move up to the 500cc World Championship the next year. Thomas Strudwick (born 17 October 2001) is a British motorcycle road racer from West Sussex. In 2020, Strudwick raced in the Open600 class of the Campeonato de España de Superbike (ESBK) for the Team Edge RST Racing Team. He was selected as one of 22 riders chosen to compete in the inaugural 2018 British Talent Cup, a controlled-formula series, and he also rode in the Motostar British Championship for superbike team Moto Rapido Moto3. John Hopkins (motorcycle Racer)
John "Hopper" Hopkins (born May 22, 1983) is a former motorcycle road racer based in the United States. During 2017 he raced in the British Superbike Championship aboard a Ducati 1199 Panigale for Moto Rapido Racing, but suffered injuries from a crash at the season-finale race meeting in October, meaning he could not participate during 2018. He has not made a full recovery, which has so far precluded hopes of a comeback, but he has become involved in rider coaching.
