Moshoeshoe Chabeli (died October 30, 2013) was a South African actor. He portrayed Harold in the 2003 film, '' Stander'' with Thomas Jane. He also portrayed the Priest in the 2013 film, '' The Forgotten Kingdom''. On television he appeared in the sitcom, ''Mponeng'', which is a South African adaptation of the British sitcom, '' Keeping Up Appearances''. He was a royal descent of Moshoeshoe I. He died on October 30, 2013, following a battle of cancer. ''Stander'' is a 2003 South African biographical film directed by Bronwen Hughes, about Captain André Stander, a South African police officer turned bank robber, starring Thomas Jane, who initially turned down the role. The filmmakers were able to talk to Allan Heyl, one of Stander's accomplices who was still imprisoned; Cor van Deventer, his police partner; and the warden of the prison where Andre was incarcerated. Plot Andre Stander is an officer with the South African Police, newly married with a rising reputation as the youngest captain on the force. He and his partner are assigned along with other officers to riot duty in the wake of the Soweto uprising. ''Keeping Up Appearances'' is a British sitcom created and written by Roy Clarke. It originally aired on BBC1 from 1990 to 1995 with two specials airing in 1997 and 2008 on PBS. The central character is an eccentric and snobbish middle class social climber, Hyacinth Bucket (Patricia Routledge), who insists that her surname is pronounced "Bouquet". The show comprised five series and 44 episodes, four of which are Christmas specials. Production ended in 1995 after Routledge decided to move on to other projects. Moshoeshoe I () ( – 11 March 1870) was the first king of Lesotho. He was the first son of Mokhachane, a minor chief of the Bamokoteli lineage, a branch of the Koena (crocodile) clan. In his youth, he helped his father gain power over some other smaller clans. At the age of 34 Moshoeshoe formed his own clan and became a chief. He and his followers settled at the Butha-Buthe Mountain. He became the first King of Lesotho in 1822. Early life Moshoeshoe was born under the name Lepoqo in the village of Menkhoaneng in the north of modern day Lesotho. The precise year of his birth remains unknown, estimates range from 1780 to 1794; 1786 being the most commonly agreed upon date. His name's literal translation is Dispute, originated from accusations of witchcraft which were levied on a man in Mekhoaneng around the time of his birth.
