Moshe Lugasi
Moshe Lugasi ( he, משה לוגסי; born 4 February 1991) is an Israeli footballer. Career Lugasi started playing in the Maccabi Tel Aviv youth academy. He was promoted to the senior team in 2011 alongside few other young players. During the 2012/2013 season Lugasi tried to pick himself a regular place in the first team. On 18 February 2013 Lugasi won a match against Bnei Yehuda after an absolutely sunning strike in the 98th minute from the corner of the box into the top woodwork and in. Maccabi won this game at the score 3–2. That goal later appeared to be crucial for Maccabi in the run for the title in that season. Moshe (French spelling: Mochè) "Moses" Lugassy (born 1852) was a Moroccan born British-Jewish businessman, a social activist and a Zionist leader. He was part of the Jewish circle of public influencers called "The Enlighted Hebrews" ("חוג המשכילים העבריים") that had taken place in Morocco. Some consider him to be the first Zionist activist of the Moroccan Jewry. Lugassy spoke Hebrew, Arabic, French and English. The 2012–13 Israeli Premier League was the fourteenth season since its introduction in 1999 and the 71st season of top-tier football in Israel. It began on 25 August 2012 and ended on 20 May 2013. Ironi Kiryat Shmona were the defending champions, having won their first Premier League title last season. Maccabi Tel Aviv secured the title with a 2–0 win against Ironi Ramat HaSharon on 22 April 2012. The Israeli Premier League ( he, ליגת העל, ''Ligat Ha`Al'', ), is a professional association football league which operates as the highest division of the Israeli Football League – the state's league of Israel. The league is contested by 14 clubs, and operates on a system of promotion and relegation with its second division Liga Leumit. The Israel national under-21 football team ( he, הנבחרת הצעירה של ישראל בכדורגל) is the national under-21 football team of Israel and is controlled by the Israel Football Association (IFA). It is considered to be the feeder team for the senior Israel national football team. It has recently qualified for the European Championships to be held in the Netherlands after beating the French under-21 team 2–1 on aggregate. This team consists of Israeli players aged 21 or under at the start of each two-year UEFA European Under-21 Football Championship campaign, so players can be, and often are, up to 23 years old.
