Morten Jensen (football Coach)
Morten Christoffer Jensen (born 9 March 1980) is a Norwegian football coach and former player. He is currently head coach of Eliteserien club Viking FK. Jensen played youth football at Havørn, Vidar and Viking, before starting his senior career with Vidar. After a couple of years at the club, he joined the Dowling Golden Lions in 2003. He stayed in the US for four years, and then he returned to Norway to join Stavanger IF in 2007. He later had another spell at Vidar and a spell at Brodd, before becoming player-coach of his youth club Havørn. Ahead of the 2017 season, he became head coach of Vidar, and from 2018 to 2020 he was an assistant coach at Viking. Playing career Jensen started playing football for Tananger-based side Havørn, before transferring to Stavanger-based side Vidar in 1992. Tananger
Tananger is a large village and urban area in Sola municipality in Rogaland county, Norway. The urban area is located on the west side of the Stavanger Peninsula between the North Sea and the Hafrsfjorden. It lies about southwest of the city centre of Stavanger. Bjarne Berntsen
Bjarne Berntsen (born 21 December 1956) is a Norwegian football coach and former player. He is the elder brother of fellow football coach Alf Ingve Berntsen. Playing career Bjarne Berntsen began his football career at local club Figgjo IL. He signed for Norwegian top division club Viking in 1977, and stayed there until 1982. During this period he played 33 matches for the Norway national football team, including the famous September 1981 win over England where he played at the right back position. Early manager years After retiring as a player, Berntsen coached Figgjo, Bryne and Viking. Between 1986 and 1987, Berntsen was also the assistant coach of the Norwegian national team. NCAA Division II Men's Soccer Championship
The NCAA Division II Men's Soccer Championship is the annual tournament held by the NCAA to determine the top men's Division II college soccer program in the United States. It has been played annually since 1972; prior to then, all teams competed in a single class. The most successful program has been Southern Connecticut State, with six national titles. 2021 Viking FK Season
The 2021 season was Viking's 3rd consecutive year in Eliteserien, and their 71st season in the top flight of Norwegian football. The club participated in the Eliteserien and the Norwegian Cup. It was the club's first season with Bjarte Lunde Aarsheim and Morten Jensen as managers. Viking ended the Eliteserien season in 3rd place, the club's first top-three finish since 2007. Bjarte Lunde Aarsheim
Bjarte Andre Lunde Aarsheim (born 14 January 1975) is a Norwegian football coach and former player. He is currently head coach of Eliteserien club Viking FK. Having spent most of his playing career at Viking, Lunde Aarsheim is the player with the eighth most appearances for the club throughout history. In a playing career that lasted from 1993 to 2012, he also played for Start, Randaberg and Hundvåg, having the role of player-coach at the latter two.
