Morten Gladhaug Berre (born 10 August 1975) is a Norwegian association football, football coach and former player who played as. a winger (association football), winger. With 447 top division appearances, Berre has made the Eliteserien records and statistics, second-highest number of appearances in the Eliteserien, Norwegian top division. Club career Berre was born in Oslo and started his career at Skeid Fotball, Skeid. He is best known for his spell at Vålerenga Fotball, Vålerenga, where he stayed for 13 seasons. Berre also played for FK Haugesund and Viking FK, Viking as well as for German club FC St. Pauli. Whilst at Viking he scored one of the goals as they famously defeated Chelsea F.C., Chelsea in the UEFA Cup in 2002. Skeid is a Norwegian alliance sports club from Nordre Åsen, Oslo. It has sections for association football (one for elite and one for grassroots football), Nordic skiing and bandy. General history The club was founded as ''IK Skeid'' on 5 December 1925. It was a merger between the two clubs ''Kristiania BK'' (founded 1 January 1915 as a merger of ''Njord'' and ''Oslo FK'') and ''SFK Frem'' (nicknamed ''Frem 14'', founded 9 April 1914 as a merger of ''Bjølsen FK'' and footballers in Thorshaug IF). 2008 Norwegian Football Cup
The 2008 Norwegian Football Cup was the 103rd season of Norwegian annual knockout football tournament. The competition started on 10 May 2008 with the first-round games and ended on 9 November 2008 with the final. The defending champions were Lillestrøm. The format of the Cup has not changed for this season what means that, unlike other European cup competitions, all teams (including Tippeligaen ones) entered the Cup in the First Round. In the First and Second Round amateur teams (or at least lower-placed at the time of the draw) were seeded and played the matches at home ground. From the Third Round until the end the draw was random. The winners, Vålerenga, qualified for the third qualifying round of the 2009–10 UEFA Europa League. The 2005 Tippeligaen was the 61st completed season of top division football in Norway. The season began on 10 April 2005, and was concluded with the last of 26 rounds played on 29 October. 3 points were given for wins and 1 for draws. Vålerenga, the winner of this year's season entered the second round of next year's Champions League qualification, while the runners-up ( Start), number 3 ( Lyn) and the Norwegian Cup winners enter the UEFA Cup qualification round.
