Morozov (crater)
Morozov is a lunar impact crater that is located on the far side of the Moon. It lies to the north of the crater Gregory and to the east-southeast of Ibn Firnas. Less than two crater diameters to the west-southwest of Morozov is Zanstra. This is a worn and eroded crater formation, particularly along the western rim where a pair of parallel marks (either grooves or crater chains) cross the inner wall, running to the south-southeast. No impacts of note lie along the rim or crater interior, although the side is also somewhat damaged along the northeast. The crater is otherwise unremarkable. The crater was named after Russian natural scientist Nikolai Morozov by the IAU in 1970. Kharkiv Morozov Machine Building Design Bureau ( ua, Харківське Конструкторське Бюро з Машинобудування ім. О.О. Морозова, or ХКБМ, KhKBM), often simply called Morozov Design Bureau or abbreviated KMDB, is a state-owned company in Kharkiv, Ukraine, which designs armoured vehicles, including the T-80UD and T-84 main battle tanks, as well as military prime movers. It was responsible for many important Soviet AFVs, including the BT tank series and the T-34, T-54, and T-64 tanks. It is closely associated with the Malyshev Factory. History KMDB started as the Tank Design Team of the Kharkiv Locomotive Factory ''Komintern'' (KhPZ, now Malyshev Factory) in 1927, in Kharkiv, Ukrainian Soviet Socialist Republic, and was responsible for the T-12 and T-24 light tanks. Pavlik Morozov
Pavel Trofimovich Morozov (russian: link=no, Па́вел Трофи́мович Моро́зов; 14 November 1918 – 3 September 1932), better known by the diminutive Pavlik, was a Soviet youth praised by the Soviet press as a martyr. Evidence has emerged since the dissolution of the Soviet Union of the fabrication of the Pavlik Morozov legend, as well as what Soviet officials thought of him. His story, dated to 1932, is that of a 13-year-old boy who denounced his father to the authorities and was in turn killed by his family. His story was a subject of reading, songs, plays, a symphonic poem, a full-length opera, and six biographies.
