The Morocco men's national tennis team represents Morocco in Davis Cup tennis competition and are governed by the Royal Moroccan Tennis Federation. Morocco currently compete in the Europe/Africa Zone Group II. History Morocco competed in its first Davis Cup in 1961. As of August 2007, the team has played 70 ties; winning 35 and losing 35. Morocco competes in the Europe/Africa Zone Group II. They last competed in the World Group in 2004 where they lost 5-0 against Argentina. The Argentina men's national tennis team represents Argentina in Davis Cup tennis competition and is governed by the ''Asociación Argentina de Tenis''. As of 2016, the team has competed in the World Group since 2002 and reached the finals five times ( 1981, 2006, 2008, 2011 and 2016), winning the cup for the first time in the 2016 edition by defeating Croatia in the final. The Morocco Billie Jean King Cup team represents Morocco in the Billie Jean King Cup tennis competition and are governed by the Fédération Royale Marocaine de Tennis. They have not competed since 2003. History Morocco competed in its first Fed Cup in 1966, but did not compete again until 1995. The 1961 Davis Cup was the 50th edition of the Davis Cup, the most important tournament between national teams in men's tennis. 28 teams entered the Europe Zone, 7 teams entered the Americas Zone, and 7 teams entered the Eastern Zone. Ecuador, Indonesia and Morocco made their first appearances in the tournament. The United States defeated Mexico in the America Zone final, India defeated Japan in the Eastern Zone final, and Italy defeated Sweden in the Europe Zone final. In the Inter-Zonal Zone, the United States defeated India in the semifinal, and then Italy defeated the United States in the final.
