Morley, Western Australia
Morley is a suburb of Perth, within the City of Bayswater local government area, situated approximately northeast of the Perth central business district. It contains the Galleria Shopping Centre, one of Perth's larger shopping centres. Morley bus station is located in the car park of the shopping centre. From the late 1950s, Morley (originally known as Morley Park) began to develop as a major shopping and commercial centre. The name Morley began appearing on maps around the beginning of the twentieth century and was adopted when the Morley Park Estate was subdivided for urban development after the First World War. CircleRoute
The CircleRoute is a pair of circular bus routes operated by Transperth through Perth's suburbs. History The CircleRoute was introduced in two stages. On 16 February 1998 the first stage of the CircleRoute commenced operating between Fremantle and Oats Street stations via Murdoch station. It was operated by Swan Transit with Mercedes-Benz O305 buses in a special livery with purple bands blended into the green blocks of the standard colour scheme, with an elliptical shaped logo featuring two arrows in white. On 22 February 1999, the route was extended to become a 133 stop, 84 kilometre circular route. All four Perth contractors; Path Transit, Perth Bus, Southern Coast Transit and Swan Transit, operated services. Perth Oval, currently branded HBF Park (under a sponsorship agreement with HBF Health Fund) and called Perth Rectangular Stadium for international football matches, is a sports stadium in Perth, the capital of the Australian state of Western Australia. Noranda is a suburb of Perth, Western Australia, located in the City of Bayswater. The suburb was named in 1977 after Noranda Park, a town in the U.S. state of Florida. The portion north of Widgee Road was transferred to the City of Bayswater from the City of Swan on 1 July 2016. The suburb is a middle- to upper-middle class area with some affluent pockets. Warwick railway station is a railway station on the Transperth network. It is located on the Joondalup line, from Perth station serving the suburb of Warwick. History Prior to the commissioning of the site as a railway station, the location was originally a bus interchange known as the Warwick Bus Station. Opened in 1987, it was similar in design and appearance to facilities constructed at Mirrabooka and Rockingham for the same purpose. Beaufort Street is a major road in the inner north-eastern suburbs of Perth, Western Australia, connecting the Morley area to the Perth central business district. For most of its length, it is a single-carriageway, two-way road with two lanes in each direction. Since 2011, the street has played host to the community focused Beaufort Street Festival.
