CircleRoute
The CircleRoute is a pair of circular bus routes operated by Transperth through Perth's suburbs. History The CircleRoute was introduced in two stages. On 16 February 1998 the first stage of the CircleRoute commenced operating between Fremantle and Oats Street stations via Murdoch station. It was operated by Swan Transit with Mercedes-Benz O305 buses in a special livery with purple bands blended into the green blocks of the standard colour scheme, with an elliptical shaped logo featuring two arrows in white. On 22 February 1999, the route was extended to become a 133 stop, 84 kilometre circular route. All four Perth contractors; Path Transit, Perth Bus, Southern Coast Transit and Swan Transit, operated services. Stirling Railway Station, Perth
Stirling railway station is a railway station on the Transperth network. It is located on the Joondalup line, nine kilometres from Perth station serving the suburb of Stirling. History Stirling station opened on 28 February 1993 in the median strip of the Mitchell Freeway. Before Stirling was constructed, the Northern Suburbs Transit System considered a deviation of the rail alignment to directly service Innaloo and its shopping district. Bayswater Railway Station, Perth
Bayswater railway station is a station in Bayswater, a suburb of Perth, Western Australia. It is on the Midland line and Airport line, which are part of the Transperth commuter rail network. It has an island platform, accessed via a pedestrian underpass and a level crossing. The station is only partially accessible due to a large platform gap and steep access ramps to the platform. Services on each line run every 12 minutes during peak and every 15 minutes between peak. The journey to Perth station is , and takes 12 minutes. The station is served by three regular bus routes. Shenton Park railway station (officially Shenton Park Station) is a commuter railway station in Shenton Park, a suburb of Perth, Western Australia. The station is on the Fremantle and Airport lines, which are part of the Transperth public transport network. It has an island platform, accessed by a pedestrian underpass. Transperth is the brand name of the public transport system serving the city and suburban areas of Perth, the state capital of Western Australia. It is managed by the Public Transport Authority (PTA), a state government organisation. Train operations are done by Transperth Train Operations, a division of the PTA. Murdoch Railway Station
Murdoch railway station is a railway and bus station on the Transperth network. It is located on the Mandurah line, from Perth station inside the median strip of the Kwinana Freeway serving the suburb of Murdoch. History Murdoch railway station was designed to subsume the existing Murdoch Park 'n' Ride bus station located on the same site. The Park 'n' Ride was closed on 31 January 2007 to facilitate construction of the railway station. The contract for the construction of Murdoch railway station, along with Bull Creek railway station and Canning Bridge railway station, was awarded to John Holland Pty Ltd in November 2004. This contract was the first contract awarded for the construction of stations on the Southern Suburbs Railway project, and it had a value of $32 million. Oats Street Railway Station
Oats Street railway station is a railway station on the Transperth network in Perth, Western Australia. It is located on the Armadale and Thornlie line, 8.2 kilometres from Perth station serving the suburbs of Carlisle, East Victoria Park and Kewdale. History Oats Street station opened in November 1954. The station serves as the only station for Armadale Line passengers to transfer to the Thornlie Line and thus intermediate stations between Claisebrook and Cannington. In 2020, the station's bus interchange was upgraded due to the bus facilities at the time being at capacity. The interchange was extended north, adding two new bus stands, bringing the total to four. Three new bus layover bays were added. The upgrade facilitated articulated buses using the interchange. Construction started in April 2020 and finished in August 2020. Fremantle Railway Station
Fremantle railway station is the terminus of Transperth's Fremantle line in Western Australia. History The original Fremantle station opened in Cliff Street on 1 March 1881 as the terminus of the Eastern Railway to Guildford via Perth. As the Eastern Railway was extended its importance grew, becoming an important hub for gold miners arriving in Western Australia via ship and then travelling to the Yilgarn and Eastern Goldfields when the line opened to Kalgoorlie in 1896. In 1907, a new station and marshalling yards were established 300 metres to the north-east on the site of the former Fremantle Railway Workshops to better service the newly constructed Fremantle Harbour. The station was designed by William Dartnall, Chief Engineer of Existing Lines of the Railway Department in 1905. Bentley is a southern suburb of Perth, the capital city of Western Australia, southeast of Perth's central business district. Its local government areas are the City of Canning and the Town of Victoria Park. Bentley is home to the main campus of Curtin University of Technology and Technology Park. Murdoch is a suburb of Perth, Western Australia, located within the City of Melville. Murdoch University, St John of God Hospital Murdoch and Fiona Stanley Hospital are located in Murdoch.
