Morgan Jones (1879 in Denver – September 21, 1951 in New York City) was an American silent film actor and writer. Biography Born in Denver, Colorado, Jones had a minor uncredited role in the 1903 early classic '' The Great Train Robbery'', but it was not until 10 years later that he made his mark in film. He is best remembered for roles in films with Shep the Dog, such as ''A Dog's Good Deed'' (1914) and '' The Barrier of Flames'' (1914) for the Thanhouser Company, but also appeared in films such as '' The Keeper of the Light'' (1914) and '' Out of the Sea'' (1915). His last known film role was in ''Mark of the Frog'' in 1928. Morgan Adair Jones (June 15, 1928 – January 13, 2012) was an American film and television actor. His acting credits, which included more than 170 roles in television, included reoccurring appearances in ''Highway Patrol'' during the 1950s and '' The Blue Angels''. Early life Jones was born in Wooster in Wayne County in northeastern Ohio. He enlisted the United States Navy and moved to California when he was stationed at Naval Base Coronado. Career Jones played Nevada mining magnate Sandy Bowers in the 1955 episode, "The Crystal Gazer," of the syndicated television anthology series, ''Death Valley Days'', hosted by Stanley Andrews. Natalie Norwick (1923-2007) was cast as Mrs. Bowers, the former Eilley Orrum, who consults a crystal ball to guide her decisions. She helped Bowers to locate a gold strike. Morgan Jones is a Welsh television presenter. He is best known for his role as the presenter of the S4C European football show, ''Sgorio'', and is the longest running presenter of Sgorio (14 years). His general interest in sport has seen him present the Snowdon Race and the Snowdonia Marathon for many years. He has also presented live broadcasts for many years covering Wales's major cultural events including the National Eisteddfod, the Urdd Eisteddfod, the Llangollen International Eisteddfod and the Royal Welsh show. Morgan Jones (British Politician)
Morgan Jones (3 May 1885 – 23 April 1939) was a Welsh Labour Party politician. Jones was born in Gelligaer to a collier and a domestic servant, and he attended primary schools in Gelligaer and Hengoed before studying at Lewis School, Pengam on a scholarship. He then attended University College, Reading, and became a teacher by profession, serving as president of the Glamorgan Federation of Teachers from 1913 to 1915. He also became a Baptist lay preacher. Jones joined the Independent Labour Party in 1908 and was elected to Gelligaer Urban District Council in 1911, serving as chairman of the council in 1921–22. In the First World War he was imprisoned as a conscientious objector. He was also a member of the No Conscription Fellowship's national committee and chairman of the South Wales Anti-Conscription Council. After the War he was elected to Glamorgan County Council. Morgan Jones (February 26, 1830 – July 13, 1894) was an American businessman and politician who served one term as a U.S. Representative from New York from 1865 to 1867. Biography Born in London, England, Jones immigrated in 1833 to the United States with his parents, who settled in New York City. He engaged in the plumbing business in 1850. He served as a member of the board of councilmen 1859–1863 and president of that body in 1860, 1861, and 1863. He served as a member of the board of aldermen in 1864 and 1865, the latter in which he served as president of the board. Congress Jones was elected as a Democrat to the Thirty-ninth Congress (March 4, 1865 – March 3, 1867). Later career and death He resumed business interests in New York City until 1887, when he retired. He died in that city on July 13, 1894. Morgan Jones (7 October 1839 – 11 April 1926) was an American railroad builder, born in Wales. Morgan Jones (20 December 1829 – 2 June 1905) was a Welsh first-class cricketer. The son of The Reverend John Jones, he was born in December 1829 at Llandygwydd, Cardiganshire. He was educated at Harrow School, matriculating at University College, Oxford in 1848. While studying at Oxford, he played first-class cricket for Oxford University on two occasions against Cambridge University in The University Matches of 1849 and 1850. In the 1850 fixture, he claimed a five wicket haul with six wickets in the Cambridge first-innings. Jones later served as a deputy lieutenant of Pembrokeshire in 1852 and of Cardiganshire in 1853. Morgan Jones (born 23 May 1999) is a Welsh rugby union player, currently playing for United Rugby Championship side Scarlets. His preferred position is lock. Professional career Born in Nuneaton, Jones was part of the Leicester Tigers academy until he was 18. After departing the club, Jones came into contact with the Welsh Exiles programme, qualifying for Wales through a Llanelli-born grandfather. Jones moved from the midlands to Llanelli, joining the Scarlets academy. While part of the academy, Jones attained in a degree on criminology and criminal justice at Swansea University.
