Morey () is a commune in the Saône-et-Loire department in the region of Bourgogne-Franche-Comté in eastern France. Geography Morey is located in the hills surrounding the Dheune river and the Canal Du Centre. Peter Morey (17981881) was the 2nd Michigan Attorney General. Early life Morey was born in Cazenovia, New York in 1798. Career Morey was a Democrat. Morey was admitted to the bar in 1831. He practiced law in New York for four years until in 1835 he moved to Tecumseh, Michigan. In 1837, Morey moved to Detroit. He served as Michigan Attorney General from 1837 to 1841. Walt Morey
Walter Morey (February 3, 1907 – January 12, 1992), was a writer of numerous works of children's fiction, set in the U.S. Pacific Northwest and Alaska, the places where Morey lived for all of his life. His book ''Gentle Ben'' was the basis for the 1967 movie ''Gentle Giant'' and the 1967-1969 television show ''Gentle Ben''. He wrote a total of 17 published books, most of which involve as a central plot element the relationship between man and animals. Many of his works involve survival stories, or people going into the wild to "discover" themselves; redemption through nature is a common theme of Morey's works. Tom Hugh Morey (15 August 1935 – 14 October 2021), also known by the moniker "Y", was a musician, engineer, surfboard shaper, and surfer responsible for several technological innovations that have heavily influenced modern developments in surfing equipment design. Biography Morey was born in Detroit, Michigan in 1935. By 1944, he was living in Laguna Beach, California, and was avidly developing his talent for drumming. He became a professional musician in the 1950s. He was an avid performer of jazz. While surfing as a hobby he attended the University of Southern California and graduated with a B.A. in mathematics in 1957. Sean Morey (born June 7, 1953) is an American stand-up comedian and singer famous for songs such as "The Man Song", "A Hairy Ass", "Dear Santa", and others. Morey has made several TV appearances, and is often referred to as "The Godfather of Boston Comedy." Early life Morey was born in Nyack, New York and grew up on the south Jersey Shore and was a lifeguard for the Longport Beach Patrol. He was senior class president at Atlantic City High School and graduated from Northeastern University in Boston with a degree in Speech Communication. Sean Joseph Morey (born February 26, 1976) is a former American football wide receiver in the National Football League (NFL). He played college football at Brown. He was drafted by the New England Patriots in the seventh round of the 1999 NFL Draft. Morey also played for the Philadelphia Eagles, Pittsburgh Steelers and Arizona Cardinals. Samuel Morey
Samuel Morey (October 23, 1762 – April 17, 1843) was an American inventor, who worked on early internal combustion engines and was a pioneer in steamships who accumulated a total of 20 patents. Early life The son of a Revolutionary War Officer. He was the second of seven children born to Israel Morey (1735–1809) and Martha Palmer (1733–1810) and was born in Hebron, Connecticut, but moved to Orford, New Hampshire, with his family in 1768. His father Israel Morey served in the colonial militia and rapidly rose from private to general. Samuel Morey operated a successful lumber business in Orford and Fairlee, Vermont.
