Moreland Le Blanc
Moreland Moses le Blanc (born 25 May 1989) is a Sint Maarten cricketer who has played at first-class level for the Leeward Islands and at Twenty20 level for Sint Maarten. Born on the island, le Blanc played for the Leeward Islands under-19 team in the 2007 West Indies Under-19 Challenge, and led the competition's batting averages with 306 runs at an average of 61.20 from five matches. He and Kenroy David were the only Sint Maarteners in the team. After his performance in the tournament, le Blanc was selected to represent Sint Maarten in the 2008 edition of the Stanford 20/20, which featured 21 teams from around the Caribbean region. The team's preliminary round match, against Cuba, was cancelled, and Sint Maarten proceeded straight to the first round of the tournament. Huddersfield Cricket League
The Huddersfield Cricket League is the premier cricket competition in Huddersfield, West Yorkshire, England. The league has been in existence since 1891 with teams representing suburbs of Huddersfield and villages in the Huddersfield district area. There are now 41 teams in the league. Now there are teams from South Yorkshire and Saddleworth, as well as clubs that have joined the league from the now defunct Huddersfield Central Cricket League and former Central Yorkshire Cricket League. A number of local players have come from the Huddersfield League to play for in the English County Championship, mainly for Yorkshire and have gone on to represent England. The Leeward Islands cricket team is a composite cricket team representing the member associations of the Leeward Islands Cricket Association, which itself is a member association of the larger West Indies Cricket Board. The team incorporates players from several small islands in the Leeward Islands grouping of the Lesser Antilles, an island arc in the Caribbean Sea. Sherwin Pele Peters (born 2 May 1990) is a professional cricketer from Sint Maarten who plays for the Leeward Islands cricket team, Leeward Islands in West Indian domestic cricket. He is a right-handed all-rounder who often opens the batting. Peters was born in Trinidad, but raised in Sint Maarten. In 2008, aged 17, he played for the Sint Maarten national cricket team, Sint Maarten national team in the Stanford 20/20. Gros Islet (English: ''Large Island'') is a community near the northern tip of the island country of Saint Lucia, in the Gros Islet Quarter. Originally a quiet fishing village, it has become one of the more popular tourist destinations in the country. The Daren Sammy Cricket Ground, previously the Beausejour Cricket Ground, is a cricket ground located near Gros Islet, Saint Lucia standard seating capacity of 15,000. It was completed in 2002 and currently accommodates 13,000 spectators. Originally named after the Beausejour hills and situated in the outskirts of Rodney Bay, the stadium was completed in 2002 and hosts domestic matches for the Windward Islands cricket team. It staged its first international Test match in 2003 against Sri Lanka and became the first venue in the Caribbean to host a day-night game. The Windward Islands cricket team is a cricket team representing the member countries of the Windward Islands Cricket Board of Control. The team plays in the West Indies Professional Cricket League (including the NAGICO Regional Super50) under the franchise name Windward Islands Volcanoes. The Regional Four Day Competition, formerly known as Shell Shield and Carib Beer Cup, is the First Class Cricket, first-class cricket competition in the West Indian cricket team, West Indies. It is administered by the Cricket West Indies. In the 2013-2014 season the winner of the tournament was awarded the WICB President's Trophy while the winners of the knockout competition were awarded the George Headley/Everton Weekes trophy.
