Greater Porto
Grande Porto () or Greater Porto is a former Portuguese NUTS3 subregion, integrating the NUTS2 region of Norte, in Portugal. It was abolished at the January 2015 NUTS 3 revision. Portela Das Cabras
Portela das Cabras, also known as "Portela de Penela", is a former civil parish in the municipality of Vila Verde, Portugal. In 2013, the parish merged into the new parish Ribeira do Neiva. It was the seat of an extinct Portuguese municipality, established by King Afonso III. In 1855 it was transformed into a parish of the Vila Verde Municipality. "Portela das cabras" literally means "pass of the goats". The region had many mountain passes and whenever they became inhabited the name "Portela" was to be given to the settlements therein. The parish has an area of 2,34 km² and 256 inhabitants (2001). The population density is 109,4/km². The old Roman road linking Braga to Astorga went through Portela das Cabras. The ''Diário da República'' (DR) is the official gazette of Portugal. Between 1869 and 1976, it was called the ''Diário do Governo''. It is published by the National Printing House and comprises two series. Laws, decree-laws, decisions by the Constitutional Court and other relevant texts are published in the I Series. Regulations, public contracts, etc. are published in the II Series. As in many countries, legislative texts are only binding after publication (article 119 of the Portuguese Constitution).
