Mordene I Kongo
''Mordene i Kongo'', theatrically as Congo, is a 2018 Norwegian crime film directed by Marius Holst and co-produced by Christian Fredrik Martin and Asle Vatn with South African producer Marlow De Mardt. The film stars Aksel Hennie and Tobias Santelmann in lead roles whereas Ine F. Jansen, Dennis Storhøi, Tone Danielsen and Anthony Oseyemi made supportive roles. The film was shot in South Africa, and revolves around two Norwegian adventurers, Joshua French and Tjostolv Moland, who are accused of killing their hired chauffeur just before crossing into the eastern part of the Democratic Republic of Congo. The film received mixed reviews from critics. The lead actor Tobias Santelmann was awarded Best Male actor in the Amanda Award 2019. Marius Holst
Marius Holst (born 15 January 1965) is a Norwegian filmmaker, a producer and a screenwriter. Life Film school student Marius Holst studied at the London International Film School. In 1990, his diploma film was nominated for the Amanda Award for Best Short Film, and for the Student Academy Awards and won the BBC Drama Award Grand Prix Potier. Career In 1994 his first feature film '' Cross My Heart and Hope to Die'' was a box-office success in Norway, and became an international festival hit, winning the Prix de Montreal at the Montreal World Film Festival and the Blue Angel Award at the 45th Berlin International Film Festival. Tjostolv Moland (28 February 1981 – 18 August 2013) was a former Norwegian army officer and private security contractor or ex-mercenary arrested in May 2009 in the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC), and convicted (together with Joshua French) of murdering their driver and espionage for Norway. One day after he died, ''The Guardian'' said that his "death overshadowed even the upcoming elections in Norway's media." Joshua Olav Daniel Hodne French (born 7 April 1982) is a Norwegian-British man who was convicted of murder in the Democratic Republic of the Congo. He worked as a security contractor with his friend Tjostolv Moland when they were arrested in May 2009, and he was later convicted of attempted murder, armed robbery, the formation of a criminal association and espionage for Norway, of which he and Moland were found guilty and sentenced to death. In 2014 he was also convicted of the murder of Moland. He was released in 2017 after serving 8 years of his sentence, and returned to Norway. Aksel Hennie (born 29 October 1975) is a Norwegian actor, director, and screenwriter. He is best known for his roles in the films '' Headhunters'' (2011), ''Hercules'' (2014), and '' The Martian'' (2015). Early life Hennie was born in the Lambertseter suburb of Oslo on 29 October 1975. In his late teens, he was arrested for graffitiing, and became an outcast in the graffiti community after confessing to the police. His "writes" or signatures were "Ceel" and "Mikro" and can still be seen around Oslo. Most of them are crossed out or lined over because of his confession.
