Moravian Philharmonic Orchestra
The Moravian Philharmonic (''Moravská filharmonie Olomouc'') is a Czech classical orchestra founded in 1945. Its resident venue is the Moravian Theatre in Olomouc. The current director is conductor Petr Vronský. Notable collaborators include David Oistrach, Václav Hudeček, Josef Suk (1929–2011) grandson of the composer, Sviatoslav Richter, Yehudi Menuhin, Václav Neumann, Libor Pešek and others. Libor Pešek
Libor Pešek (22 June 1933 – 23 October 2022) was a Czech conducting, conductor. He was among the most famous conductors of his time, working regularly across Europe as chief conductor of orchestras in Prague, but also for ten years with the Royal Liverpool Philharmonic. His career spanned more than 70 years during which he won awards from Great Britain and others. He conducted Czech music by composers such as Vítězslav Novák, Josef Suk (composer), Josef Suk and Pavel Josef Vejvanovský better known by performances and recordings. Life and career Pešek was born in Prague, Czechoslovakia, on 22 June 1933. He attended a grammar school, where he established his own jazz band. He then studied conducting, piano, cello and trombone at the Academy of Musical Arts, with Václav Smetáček and Karel Ančerl among his teachers. Petr Pololáník
Petr Pololáník is a Czech conductor, orchestrator and music producer. His father Zdeněk Pololáník belongs to foremost Czech composers. Petr studied both violin, piano and conducting; in 1996, he earned his Master of Arts in conducting at the Janacek Academy of Music and Performing Arts in Brno. Since 1996, Petr has been teaching at the Church Conservatory in Kroměříž, the Film School in Zlín and at the International Conductors Workshops in Kroměříž. In 2001, he became the Executive and artistic director of the Karlovy Vary Symphony Orchestra, one of the oldest symphony orchestras in Europe. Maxis is an American video game developer and a Division (business), division of Electronic Arts (EA). The studio was founded in 1987 by Will Wright (game designer), Will Wright and Jeff Braun, and acquired by Electronic Arts, EA in 1997. Andy Brick
Andy Brick is an American composer, conductor and symphonist. A native of suburban Chicago, Brick studied composition under Leslie Bassett at the University of Michigan. He then completed graduate studies in composition at the Mannes School of Music in Manhattan. In 1990 he arranged music for ''Sesame Street'', and wrote scores for independent films. In 1996 he won a competition sponsored by the American Society of Composers, Authors and Publishers, which allowed him to score a film and record the composition with a live orchestra in Hollywood. Having previously worked primarily with synthesized music, Brick called this '"a defining moment". Jerry Martin is an American composer, best known for his work composing music (particularly jazz) for television commercials, and being the lead composer for several games in ''The Sims'' franchise, including '' SimCity 3000'', ''The Sims'', ''The Sims Bustin' Out'', ''The Sims 2'' and ''SimCity 4''. Václav Neumann
Václav Neumann (29 October 1920 – 2 September 1995) was a Czech conductor, violinist, violist, and opera director. Life and career Neumann was born in Prague, where he studied at the Prague Conservatory with Josef Micka (violin), and Pavel Dědeček and Metod Doležil (conducting) from 1940 through 1945. He co-founded the Smetana Quartet, playing 1st violin and then viola. Neumann made his debut as a conductor with the Czech Philharmonic Orchestra in 1948; remaining as a conductor with that ensemble through 1950.
