In a career spanning four decades, her credits included work in radio, stage, film, and television.Obituary ''Variety'', May 8, 1974, page 286. Scipio Moorhead
Scipio Moorhead (active c. 1773-after 1775) was an enslaved African-American artist who lived in Boston, Massachusetts. Moorhead is known through the contemporary African-American poet Phillis Wheatley's poem, dedicated "To S. M. a young African Painter, on seeing his Works", published in ''Poems on Various Subjects, Religious and Moral'', 1773. His full name was learned from period marginalia. Moorhead was a slave of the Reverend John Moorhead of Boston, Massachusetts. His talents for drawing were tutored by the reverend's wife Sarah Moorhead, who was an art teacher. Although a slave, Scipio Moorhead enjoyed many of the rights of free workers. No original work by Scipio has survived, but he may be the person referred to the a ''Boston News-Letter'' advertisement on January 7, 1773, which spoke of a "negro artist... Lorna Jean Moorhead (born November 5, 1975) is an American author, health columnist and health advocate. She is one of the first writers on the subject of women's health issues pertaining to multiple sclerosis. Biography Moorhead was born in Carmichael, California. George Moorhead
George Henry Moorhead (27 May 1895 – 20 June 1975) was a Northern Irish international footballer who played as a centre half in the 1920s. Although born in New Zealand, Moorhead made three international appearances for Ireland. He played his club football with Southampton in England and with Linfield and Glenavon in Northern Ireland. Club career Moorhead was born in Christchurch, New Zealand but moved to Ireland as a child. During the First World War, he enlisted in the Royal Irish Rifles, and played football for the regimental team. On the cessation of his military service, he played for Glenavon. Frederick Moorhead
Frederick William Moorhead KC (1863 – 27 November 1902) was an Australian barrister, politician, and judge. He was born in Ireland and emigrated to Western Australia in 1889. Moorhead was a member of the Legislative Assembly of Western Australia from 1899 to 1901, and briefly served as the state's attorney-general in the government of Alf Morgans. He was appointed to the Supreme Court of Western Australia in April 1902, but died after only seven months in office.
