The Moorebank Intermodal Terminal is an intermodal terminal under construction in the south-western Sydney suburb of Moorebank. History In 2010, the Department of Finance and Deregulation conducted a feasibility study into the development of the intermodal terminal at Moorebank in south-western Sydney. In April 2012 the Federal Government committed to developing the Moorebank Intermodal Terminal with private sector involvement. Moorebank is a suburb of Sydney, in the state of New South Wales, Australia. Moorebank is located 27 kilometres south-west of the Sydney central business district in the local government area of the City of Liverpool. Moorebank features a mix of residential and industrial areas. Moorebank Shopping Village is a small shopping centre. History The suburb takes its name from early settler Thomas Moore. Moorebank was originally home to vineyards and other rural activities. The M5 Motorway is a motorway located in Sydney, New South Wales, Australia that is designated with the M5 route and forms part of the Sydney Orbital Network. Per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFASs) are synthetic organofluorine chemical compounds that have multiple fluorine atoms attached to an alkyl chain.
