Moore is an unincorporated community and census-designated place (CDP) in Frio County, Texas, United States. Its population was 475 at the 2010 census. Geography Moore is located in northeastern Frio County at (29.065636, -99.013345). Interstate 35 passes through the community, with access from Exit 114. I-35 leads northeast to downtown San Antonio and southwest to Pearsall, the Frio County seat. According to the United States Census Bureau, the CDP as drawn in 2010 has a total area of , down from an area of at the 2000 census. All of the CDP area is land. Demographics As of the census of 2000, 644 people, 248 households, and 182 families were residing in the CDP. The population density was 20.6 people per square mile (8.0/km2). The 283 housing units averaged 9.1/sq mi (3.5/km2). Moore (lunar Crater)
Moore is an impact crater that is located on the far side of the Moon. Like much of the far side, Moore is located in a region that has been saturated by impacts. Nearby craters of note are Larmor to the south-southwest, and Parsons about the same distance to the west. This crater has been worn and damaged by subsequent impacts, particularly along the western rim where it is overlain by a double-crater. The interior floor is irregular and marked by a merged chain of impacts that runs from the northwest rim to the midpoint. The satellite crater Moore L is attached to the south-southeast outer rim. To the east, the satellite crater Moore F has a relatively high-albedo rim, and lies at the center of a small ray system. Moore College of Art & Design is a Private college, private art school in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Its undergraduate programs are available only for female students, but its other educational programs, including graduate programs, are co-educational. History Founded in 1848 by Sarah Peter, Sarah Worthington Peter as the Philadelphia School of Design for Women, it was the first women's art school in the United States. Moore Catholic High School is an American private, Catholic school in the Bulls Head neighborhood of Staten Island, New York. It was founded by the Presentation Sisters of Staten Island in September 1962 and named for Mary Young Moore, a beneficiary to the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of New York, and was the first archdiocesan high school for girls on Staten Island.
