Giel-Courteilles () is a commune in the Orne department in north-western France. The current commune was formed in 1965 when the two communes of Giel and Courteilles merged. Geography The commune of Giel-Courteilles is part of the area known as Suisse Normande. Habloville () is a commune in the Orne department in north-western France. The inhabitants of Habloville,are called Hablovillais and Hablovillaises Geography The commune of Habloville borders Suisse Normande to the north, south and west and on its eastern border the communes of Ri and Rônai. The commune is made up of the following collection of villages and hamlets, Habloville, Launay Percot, Bissey and Noirville. The source of the river Baize is located at the village lavoir opposite the church. History Neolithic period Habloville contains evidence of Neolithic presence in the area with a dolmen or stone table measuring 3.25 meters by 2.95 meters called the Dolmen des Bignes. The municipality was established on 1 January 2016 by merger of the former communes of Batilly, La Courbe, Écouché (the seat), Loucé, Saint-Ouen-sur-Maire and Serans. On 1 January 2018, the former commune of Fontenai-sur-Orne was merged into Écouché-les-Vallées. It's seat, Écouché, is classed as a Petites Cités de Caractère.
