Acqua Paradiso Monza Brianza is a professional volleyball team of Pallavolo Gabeca (till 2009 Acqua Paradiso Gabeca Montichiari), based in Monza, Italy. It plays in Italian Volleyball League. PalaIper
The Arena di Monza (formerly the Candy Arena, PalaCandy, PalaIper) is an indoor sporting arena in Monza, Italy. It is home to the Vero Volley Monza (Serie A1) and Saugella Team Monza (Serie A1), volleyball teams. In 2011, it hosted matches for the 2011 Women's European Volleyball Championship. Andrea Sartoretti (born 19 June 1971) is an Italian former volleyball player. Biography Born at Perugia, Sartoretti debuted in the Italian Serie in 1991, winning the Award as best Under 23 player. A 1.94 cm athlete, he usually played opposite hitter. Sartoretti was known for his powerful serve, which gained him the nickname of ''Sartorace''. He won one Italian Serie A1 national title in 1997, with Pallavolo Modena. Sartoretti also won three CEV Champions Leagues and two European Supercups in his stay at Messaggero Ravenna (1991-1996). He earned his first cap for Italy national team in 1993. He won four World Leagues (two times declared MVP), two European (2001 and 2003) and a World (1998) titles. Ferdinando De Giorgi (born 10 October 1961) is an Italian professional volleyball coach and former player, a participant in the Olympic Games Seoul 1988, three–time World Champion (1990, 1994, 1998), and the 1989 European Champion. He currently serves as head coach for the Italy national team. De Giorgi is the second person in the world to have won World Championship both as a player and a coach. Lorenzo Bernardi
Lorenzo Bernardi (born 11 August 1968) is an Italian professional volleyball coach and former player, a silver medallist at the Olympic Games Atlanta 1996, two–time World Champion (1990, 1994), and a two–time European Champion ( 1989, 1995). Bernardi was elected best player of the 1994 World Championship and 1995 European Championship, and in 2001, the FIVB declared him to be the "Volleyball Player of the Century" with Karch Kiraly. Career Born in Trento, Bernardi started his long career in the 1980s as setter, but later was switched to hitter and passer. From 1985 he played with the Panini Modena club.
