The Montenegro national futsal team is controlled by the Football Association of Montenegro, the governing body for futsal in Montenegro and represents the country in international futsal competitions, such as the World Cup and the European Championships. Football Association Of Montenegro
The Football Association of Montenegro ( Montenegrin: ''Fudbalski savez Crne Gore'', ''FSCG'' / Фудбалски савез Црне Горе, ФСЦГ) is the governing body of football in Montenegro. It is based in the capital, Podgorica. The FSCG organises the Montenegrin First, Second and Third Leagues, which between them contain 45 clubs. It also organises the Montenegrin Women's League and the men's and women's Montenegrin Cups, as well as the Montenegro national football team and the Montenegro national under-21 football team. The FSCG was established in 1931 as a sub-association within the Football Association of Yugoslavia. From 2003 until Montenegro declared independence in 2006, the FSCG was a sub-association within the Football Association of Serbia and Montenegro. 2021 FIFA Futsal World Cup
The 2021 FIFA Futsal World Cup was the ninth edition of the FIFA Futsal World Cup, the quadrennial international futsal championship contested by the men's national teams of the member associations of FIFA. The tournament was held in Lithuania. It marked the first FIFA tournament ever hosted by Lithuania and the third Futsal World Cup hosted in Europe; the others being 1989 in the Netherlands and 1996 in Spain. The tournament was originally scheduled to be held from 12 September to 4 October 2020 as the 2020 FIFA Futsal World Cup. However, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, FIFA announced on 3 April 2020 that a decision would be made whether the tournament would be postponed and rescheduled. Montenegrin Futsal First League
Prva Crnogorska futsal Liga is the highest-ranked futsal league in Montenegro. It is governed by the Football Association of Montenegro and it is played under UEFA and FIFA rules. It was founded in 2006 and as of 2019–20 season, the league consists of 10 teams. History First official futsal competition in Montenegro was organized in January 1988, as a Republic qualifiers for the final SFR Yugoslavia tournament. Most successful teams at that time were Ratar and Transport from Podgorica, who represented Montenegro in the finals. Era of significant successes started at nineties, as teams from Montenegro made big progress in futsal championship of FR Yugoslavia. The 2026 UEFA Futsal Championship, commonly referred to as UEFA Futsal Euro 2026, will be the 13th edition of the UEFA Futsal Championship, the international futsal championship organised by UEFA for the men's national teams of Europe. This will be the second tournament to be held on a four-year basis and featuring 16 teams after 2022. It will take place between January and February 2026. The 2016 UEFA Futsal Championship, commonly referred to as UEFA Futsal Euro 2016, was the 10th edition of the UEFA Futsal Championship, the biennial international futsal championship organised by UEFA for the men's national teams of Europe. The UEFA Futsal Euro 2014 was the ninth edition of the UEFA Futsal Championship, European Championship for men's national futsal teams organised by UEFA. It was hosted for the first time in Belgium, from 28 January to 8 February 2014, following a decision of the UEFA Executive Committee in December 2011. The UEFA Futsal Euro 2012 was the eighth official edition of the UEFA European Championship for national futsal teams. It was hosted by Croatia, and was played from January, 31 to February, 11. 12 teams competed for the title, with 11 teams gain entries from qualification rounds, while Croatia gained an automatic entry as hosts.
