Montagut (clothing)
Montagut is a clothing company located in Saint-Sauveur-de-Montagut in the Auzene Valley, France. There, in 1880, Pierre Gros's great-great-grandfather founded a silk yarn factory. This activity went on from generation to generation. In 1925, Georges Tinland (Pierre's grandfather) set up a knitting factory in the same location. Tinland was the first to sell Montagut lingerie and silk stockings. These products were a big commercial success between the two world wars. Vilafranca Del Penedès
Vilafranca del Penedès, or simply Vilafranca (), is the capital of the ''comarca'' of the Alt Penedès in Catalonia, Spain. The Spanish spelling of the name, ''Villafranca del Panadés'', is no longer in official use since 1982 (Law 12/1982, of 8 October). It is situated in the Penedès Depression on the left bank of the Foix River, and on the main axis of communication from Barcelona to Tarragona and Valencia, served by a Rodalies Barcelona line 4 and by the AP-7 ''autopista'' as well as by the C-243 towards Sant Sadurní d'Anoia, and C-15 (formerly called C-244) roads to Vilanova i la Geltrú and Igualada respectively. Berenguer de Montagut (active during the second half of the 14th century) was a Catalan architect, master builder on Santa Maria del Mar. Little is known about Berenguer de Montagut's life. He is currently linked with three religious buildings in Catalonia and the Balearic Islands, for which it seems clear that he was the designer and master builder during parts of their respective constructions: Santa Maria de l'Aurora in Manresa (the Manresa Cathedral), Santa Maria del Mar in Barcelona and the Cathedral of Majorca. On occasions he has also been linked with the church of Santa Maria del Pi in Barcelona. Berenguer served as lieutenant to the governors of Majorca during the 1390s, including twice under Ramon d'Abella Ramon d'Abella (fl. 1389–1401) was a Catalan military leader and royal councillor under John I and Martin of the Crown of Aragon.
