The Southern Association of Colleges and Schools (SACS) is an educational accreditor recognized by the United States Department of Education and the Council for Higher Education Accreditation. Bolingbroke, founded in 1867, is an unincorporated community and census-designated place (CDP) in Monroe County, Georgia, United States. It lies just north of Macon, between Interstates 475 and 75. The community is part of the Macon Metropolitan Statistical Area. It was first listed as a CDP in the 2020 census, with a population of 497. Culloden is a city in Monroe County, Georgia, United States. The population was 200 in the 2020 census. It is part of the Macon Metropolitan Statistical Area. History The first settlement at Culloden was made ca. 1739. The community was named after William Culloden, a local merchant. A post office called Culloden has been in operation since 1825. The Georgia General Assembly incorporated the place in 1887 as the "City of Culloden", with municipal corporate limits extending in a one-mile radius from the central town well. Juliette is an unincorporated community and census-designated place (CDP) in Monroe County, Georgia, United States. The community is part of the Macon Metropolitan Statistical Area. Named for Juliette McCracken, daughter of a railroad engineer, the town formed with the merging of Brownsville and Iceberg. Smarr is an unincorporated community and census-designated place (CDP) in Monroe County, in the U.S. state of Georgia. It was first listed as a CDP in the 2020 census with a population of 218. History Smarr was established in 1838 when the railroad was extended to that point, and named for the founder. Variant names were "Smarrs" and "Smarrs Station". A post office called Smarr's Station was established in 1872, and the name was shortened to Smarrs in 1895. Mary Persons High School
Mary Persons High School is a public 9-12 high school located in Forsyth, Georgia, United States. It is the sole high school of Monroe County Schools. During the 2011–12 school year, 1,181 students were enrolled in the school. There are around 69 faculty members, giving the school a 17.07 student/teacher ratio. The 2020-2021 Competition Cheerleading team won the AAA State Championship, held at the Macon Coliseum on February 16, 2021. The team is Coached by Kyle Ward.
